WARFARE

Poison Gas
Poison gas was first introduced by Germany. Tear gas was used to blind enemies
and other forms of toxic gas were used to
kill enemies when launched poison-filled
shells .Poison gas revolutionized wartime
because of devastating effect on allied
troops during WW1. During one attack,
1000 Russian troops were confirmed

U-Boats

Auto-Machine Guns

U-boats were first used in war by the Germans. U-boats are undersea boats or submarines. They revolutionized wartime because of how much destruction they caused
throughout WW1, especially to merchant
ships.

Machine guns were used by the British,

French, and Germans, but Germany took a
much greater advantage of them. They revolutionized wartime because of their ability to
wipe through waves of enemy troops with
ease. It made it very difficult for enemies to
advance onto you by foot.

Convoys

Airplanes

killed.

Zeppelins
Zeppelins were used by both Germany
and the Allies, but Germany made far
more extensive use of it. It is a giant, hydrogen filled ship. They used it to drop
bombs out of on cities during the night. It
revolutionized wartime because of the new
concept strategic bombing with which the
zeppelin carried out.

Great Britain used convoys as defense

against German U-boats. A convoy is a
group of vessels sailing under protection of
an armed escort. They revolutionized wartime because it greatly helped the British
defend their merchant ships from the attack
of German U-boats.

The British were the first to really use aircrafts for war although Germany and most of
the Allies had them as well. They were airplanes which were very small and dangerous. A pilot was more likely to die during
training then during war. It revolutionized
wartime because it was used for monitoring
enemy movements.
