Good afternoon class I hope everyone
had a great spring break. Today we are
going to start on our weeklong Volleyball
unit with learning how to properly serve
volleyball. We will be starting off with the
underhand serve and then progressing to
a more complex serve, the overhand
serves.

Purpose:
This lesson is important because serving
volleyball is how you start a game of
volleyball. It is a fundamental skill
because if you serve good it gives your
team an advantage as well as a good
opportunity at scoring points and more
points is always the goal.
Transition Students will be asked to stand
up and get ready to participate.
Lesson Core - Task 1:
We will be learning the underhand serve
in this core task. Students will be paired
up and find an open area of space on the
blacktop. One student will be a target and

but now we are going to work on

Also, the partner who is the target will
move to a different spot every repetition.
