    To Whom It May Concern:
    !It is my pleasure to recommend Lauren Bagby as a highly qualified teaching candidate. She will be a

    valuable addition to any school context and brings the collaborative and flexible mindset that will
    benefit any staff and school. I have worked with Lauren as a USD teacher in training in Expository
    Reading & Writing for the 2015-2016 school year. During that time, she has demonstrated the
    attributes necessary to be a successful teacher at any level--she connects professionally with those
    around her and her classroom planning and instruction is highly effective. She is also in a unique
    position because she is not a beginning teacher in the traditional meaning of the word. She has
    several years experience teaching at independent schools and that experience compliments the very
    effective teacher that she is.

    !In her short time at our school, Lauren has become an integral part of our teaching staff. She

    demonstrates the confidence necessary to both teach successfully and grow as a beginning teacher.
    She carefully crafts her lesson plans, demonstrates effective classroom management, establishes
    appropriate rapport with students, and incorporates assessment strategies through which she
    provides feedback in a timely manner. Overall, she balances the demands of teaching with grace and
    maturity.

    !Lauren has taught ERWC in a project-based, interdisciplinary context. Her credential classes and

    previous classroom experiences have provided her with the tools that she will successfully bring to
    any classroom and school. She helped students work toward proficiency in their Senior Defense work
    and provided support as they prepared for that rigorous capstone. She has participated beyond the
    student teaching requirements in various campus duties and as a substitute teacher where needed. I
    am thoroughly confident in the extensive preparation that her teaching experiences, as well as her
    time at DMD have given her she is ready to teach!

    !What most impresses me about Lauren is her attention to detail. She is prompt, responsive, and

    intuitive. Though she has juggled the demand of her Masters and credential classes at USD, she
    comes to school daily demonstrating a strong work ethic. She has a positive attitude that is
    contagious. Lauren truly is amazing and any school would benefit greatly to have her as a part of its
    team.

    !Lauren is a highly qualified and experienced candidate for any English-Language Arts position and is

    currently preparing to take the CSET in social science to increase her marketability. I recommend her
    for your consideration and hope you will have the opportunity to work with such a well-qualified
