After greeting the class, the teacher starts by talking about his clothes, how he/she likes them etc., then
proceeds to ask the students about what clothes they are wearing and what clothes they like. This is done in
order to gauge the extent of the students knowledge.
The teacher then says that there is a video he/she wants to show the students. The video is about
clothes. As the class watches the video, he/she stops the video every time a new word shows up and he will
pronounce and spells it. After the video ends, he/she shows the students random articles of clothing and asks
what they are. He/she makes sure that the students have learned the words correctly.
The teacher then focuses on spelling by giving the students a short worksheet. There are visible and easy
to understand pictures of articles of clothing that were talked about before in the class. The students are required
to write the names of the articles correctly.
After the worksheet, the teacher asks the students to watch him carefully and repeat what he/she does.
He/she proceeds to mimic the act of wearing clothes, like wearing pants or a t-shirt etc. He says what he does as
he does it. For example ''I am wearing my pants.''. After a while he/she stops saying it out loud and tells the
students to keep repeating as he does the movements. Lastly, he asks the students to say a sentence and do the
motions by themselves. He takes notes either physically or in his/her head.
The teacher asks about the weather and what it could have to do with the clothes we wear. He
involves the class in a discussion, grabbing the interest of the whole class. This conservation is done as
a warm down and to prepare the students for the next lesson.
