    Reading: Reviewing letters and words
    learned and continuing to focus on fluency

    Classroom News
    It is nice to be back after our
    Christmas break and a shortened week due
    to a snow day! This week we focused on
    the letter Bb and words are and now.
    now We
    are also working on our fluency while reading. In writing our class has been discussing
    winter and wrote a piece about winter. The
    children also are learning how to help their
    peers with editing. In math our focus has
    been on addition. The students are working
    hard to make number sentences. How animals survive and adapt to their environment has been our topic in science, and we
    are learning about geography in social studies. Last, the children have been learning
    about Jesus and some of his miracles in
    theology.

    Writing: Write an information piece about


    arctic foxes

    Friendly Reminders

    Math: Finish up addition and begin subtraction


    Theology: Continue to learn about Jesus
    and his teachings
    Science: We will finish up learning about
    animal adaptations
    Social Studies: We will learn about
    Martin Luther King Jr. next week

    Please remember to send in


    library books!

    Please continue to work with your child


    on fastening their coats for recess.
    They should be able to do this independently!
