Big shoutout to our partners at Chronosphere and Cloudsmith for making it happen and to everyone who joined the conversation!

If you think your interview process can be beaten by an AI, it’s not a good process. Casey Brown, Head of Infrastructure at Weights & Biases, makes the case for returning to first principles, especially in large organizations. He also shares how SREs are using AI at different scales today and where it can have the most impact in the future.

Rootly at SREcon EMEA: recap highlights! – Maria Vechtomova (Marvelous MLOps) and Sylvain Kalache at SREcon (Rootly) led a discussion track on real-world MLOps with Charity Majors (honeycomb), Todd Underwood (Anthropic), Niall Murphy (Stanza), Alejandro Saucedo (Zalando), and Jay Lees (Meta). – In his talk, Sylvain Kalache shared how AI code assistants are already shaping incident response. – Jorge Lainfiesta presented a talk exploring the intersection of SRE and platform engineering. Big shoutout to Heinrich Hartmann and the other organizers for putting together a fantastic conference. Every talk we attended was technical and insightful, and it was great to connect with so many SREs pushing the boundaries of reliability.

While Sonnet-4.5 remains a popular choice among developers, our benchmarks show it underperforms GPT-5 on SRE-related tasks when both are run with default parameters. However, using the Not Diamond prompt adaptation platform, Sonnet-4.5 achieved up to a 2x performance improvement in some test cases, effectively closing the gap between the models. Learn more about our findings or run them with a single command using Groq's OpenBench (link below).
