Can operate production-grade infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure 3. Thrives in fast-paced environments and communicates exceptionally well with technical users This is a fully remote role with a team across multiple cities globally. Our founder thought my move to SF would immediately boost revenue... and it's been kind of the opposite. I've been meeting with customers to rightsize their workloads in-person so they actually pay us less in the short term. This rightsizing work validates our core belief: we succeed when our customers succeed, not when we maximize extraction. When startups are early, we don't expect much revenue from them - we give Porter away free for the first 6 months to match the cloud credits they get from the hyperscalers. As companies scale and we deliver more impact through automation, they pay accordingly. Pricing stays comparable to managed services like ECS Fargate or Cloud Run, but with far greater automation and volume discounts that ensure costs grow asymptotically, not linearly. Our north star: always cost a fraction of hiring DevOps in-house while delivering the same capabilities. Thanks Ian Edwards from Parley and Ritvik Pandey, Sid Manchkanti and Keagan Wilson from Pulse for having me swing by to help y’all rightsize. To all early-stage founders: we have a free for startups deal, so combined with your cloud credits, you can run your infra for free (and I’ll help you rightsize before the deal expires). We're hosting an Agentic Memory & Context Engineering Hackathon in San Francisco during #SFTechWeek! Today’s AI agents are only as good as the context they can hold onto. Traditional retrieval-augmented generation helps, but it’s not enough to power persistent, adaptive, and truly agentic applications. At this hackathon, builders will rethink how agents store, share, and recall information using MongoDB Atlas, Voyage AI, and our partner technologies. You’ll get hands-on support, build alongside some of the best in the AI community, and push the boundaries of what agentic systems can do. Network with top builders in the AI community, win cash prizes, & get hands-on support. Limited spots available! 🗓️ Saturday, Oct 11 | 9 AM – 10 PM PDT 📍 Shack15, San Francisco | In-person only Big thanks to CerebralValley.com for helping bring the community together — register now: https://lnkd.in/gDRTrsiJ Meta | Voyage AI by MongoDB | Fireworks AI | Factory | Warp | Porter Technologies Inc. | Modelence | Amazon Web Services (AWS)
