Metamorphosis
'Metamorphosis' is an independent production, a directorial debut, the first-ever feature film of Franz Kafka's iconic novella, and its completion in 2012 marks the centenary of Kafka having written it.
Travelling salesman, Gregor Samsa, wakes up one morning to find himself metamorphosed in his bed into a helpless and repulsive insect of grotesque proportions. The story then traces the interaction of Gregor and his family as he slowly wastes away for want of the right kind of sustenance. His ultimate death brings relief and rejoicing for his family and releases them to a fresher and more positive life without him.
