New owner Tim Hultquist, who buys TV stations like people buy music from iTunes, is trying to turn the station around. He has an interesting cast of characters on his team. Lead anchor Evelyn Wagner is all business, but the crew around her is less than stellar. Marcy Ballson, the lead field reporter, is Evelyn's old college friend who became her enemy as the result of a-cue card incident- 15 years earlier. Tim has a mysterious past relationship with Evelyn and Marcy stemming from their college days. Add in a sleepy weatherman, a golfing fanatic sports reporter, a cooking guru for an assistant, a charming and dim co-anchor, along with some wide-eyed interns, and WTNA is ready to crumble. Enter the beautiful Deborah Myers, a marketing genius, who along with her foreign investors plans to revitalize WTNA. Some new talent is brought in, with unexpected and hilarious results.
