Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
It is what it should have been
The moments a movie made as a sequel feels right, are few.
This movie feels right. Everything is in continuum.
The cinematography is excellent, the rain is still falling on the windshield.
The lyricism is present with similar feelings like the first movie. I was lucky enough to watch it in the movies the time it was released. Maybe it is generation thing but even though, Iam sure that younger people will enjoy the ride and understand the first Blade Runner with a better perspective
Noboy talks about the the attack on the Shoulder of Orion
Really nothing more to say. Movie history was made.
Cinematography at its best!
Bullet Train (2022)
a bad, bad movie....
It was the worst acting performance I have seen by Brad Pitt...I mean the last scene with his "funny crying" was maybe the worst comedy performance I have seen for a while. I cant say if it was the botox or the lack of commitment that made Brad Pitt acting the way he act. I wonder regarding the cultural backround, the age and the moviethek of those who give a higher than 5 or 6 starvote but at the end it is just a movie....and we all hope we forget as soon as possible what we saw.....Hiroyuki Sanada was an glimpse of light in this...."try to be funny action movie"...I hope Tarantino didn't watched it....it just will explode his ego...
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
no smell or taste
I just watch again the Trilogy...So I degraded my vote another 2 stars down.
This..."tv-creation" by Amazon...is not just an failure for those who loved the cinematographic magnitude of the trilogy. It is an soap opera of the worst kind with no feeling of an Epos, no characters to like and remember.
The addoptation of Tolkien world is not the only issue here, the errors or changes are acceptable for the cinemetographic effect and the creation of the story line.
Except a small efford in creation and fantasie in the buildup of the world.
I wont analyze what I saw because I dont want to loose more time on this failure and I dont think that I watch it further more Lord of the Thrones Dynasty....
Barbarians (2020)
what a pity
Such a beautiful efford to make an accurate historical film/series. The clothing, the armamend of the legionarii a little bit more Lorica Segmentata than it has to be for the timeperiod and then you have to watch an needless and not historic accurate lovescene for Morbid....auxilia warriors, women witch couldnt be the case at that time just for reason of- I cant say for sure "political correctness" maybe....open up the viewers target group? Really what a pity for such an efford...So just a five because history is history....and nobody shouldt fool around with history and historical accuracy.... It reminds me of the sorrow I felt watching Troy...
Short Fuse (2016)
This is not a movie... it's a bad joke
Mediocre allover...the plot the acting the silly voice on the phone....the unrealistic fightscene...Iam glad I watched it on TV and didn't spend money for it.
Dune: Part One (2021)
A Masterpiece
I dont want to spoil it, but it is the most poetic and epic movie I have seen for years. The atmosphere given is breathtaking and there cant be criticism for movies like Dune. Respect for the vision of Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth... But the true revelation is the music...the atmosphere it creates brings you emotions like you were sitting in the middle of the desert of Wadi Rum.
Infinite (2021)
Wahlberg was not the face for this movie
I mean, there is no mystery in his face, no tension in his cheeks, no mystery was build up in the story....everything was given easily...the character work was good but not good enough.... I get bored faster the Ferrari was running in the streets...
Hendrix (2000)
Soap opera?
There is no feeling in this movie. 60's or 80' it would be the same...you cant get any atmosphere out of this movie. Harris performance is really like he never heard Hendrix voice or seen his persona. The relation between the characters are in the era of a soap opera or some social project documentary...I was lucky watched it on TV with the possibility to turn the TV off.
War of the Worlds (2019)
whatever is no of hollywood is a sin...
The approach of the movie is not an Hollywood centered one....there are viewers who are "possessed" of the way action movie are made in the US Industry and they dont want to try a different view of the story. The first episode was extremly good and frightened and atmospheric in a way the Hollywood movie needs tons of special effects and explosions....we are not allways fans of this kind of cinematography....sorry...i like what i saw.
Tenet (2020)
You can understand thats masterpiece in the first 5 minutes....i saw it coming in the first 2..
Its the only time i believe a movie could be better understandable as a mini-Series ...because you really don t have the time to digest and process the theory behind the action as fast as you may need.... the movie has everything a masterpiece need. Story, lyricism, plot, action, good acting and of course fulfillment...the interaction of the different timelines is very good designed and whoever wanted a film like this......have received exactly what he gained for...
Idegölö (2006)
just terrible
Couldt it be worst? a terrible actor for the first character of the movie. Jokes nobody can laufh with. Do your self a favor and avoid it, even for fun.
