Blindness (2008)
the way it makes you feel remains
Someone recommended blindness the other day, and it only took me about a half a minute to realise ive seen this movie back in 2008. Shocked me how well it all came back only by hearing it mentioned. Not so much the story but that feeling it gave me back then. Terrifing, shocking, chilling while abolutely captivated. It amazed me how well the memory of feelings could come back, almost like i could live trough it all over again. For this reason alone id already love this movie, even though i realise that it might've traumatised me to some extent since i was in my teenage years when it premiered, but also im certain that if it wasnt the masterpiece it is, it wouldnt have stayed with me all throughout these years.
Meet Cute (2022)
give it a chance
I don't quite get all of these negative reviews so im leaving this one here in hopes of giving this movie some boost which it surely deserves in my opinion.
Please don't judge it by the trailer, it doesn't give off the vibe of the movie and i think that it's a pity because people might not give it a chance based off of that two minutes, when in fact it does deserve more views from those individuals who enjoy a more of a slow burn romcom kinda story that is heartwarming, funny and definitely is not a meaningless watch.
( And i say this as someone who isn't even that much of a pete davidson fan.)
Along for the Ride (2022)
predictable but cute
Beach themed coming-of-age romcom that doesn't wanna be more than it should - cute, semi-funny, pretty, etc. Won't shake up your world but will deliver summer vibes.
Midnight Mass (2021)
think about it while watching
Should you read trough the lines and not fixating on wether or not this show judges religion from one angle only, you might find that it can inspire one to sit back for a sec and think about where we as individuals stand on bout what's after this life. Questioning our own faith/beliefs from time to time can be only useful in my opinion, and yes the plot may be chaotic here and there the message of it all outweighs such details as why the word vampire hasn't been used even though it could have many times.
And the angel it's a symbol just get over it it's meant to represent the lack of god or universe or whatever you may call it. The maybe uncertain but rather promising end of it brings a definitely unusual but ultimately happy ending in my opinion.
The Woman in the Window (2021)
at least amy did her best
Expected more from one but adams' lived up to her name and saved all that could be saved from an at-best-mediocre storyline.
I Care a Lot (2020)
liked the cast, but...
Gave it a five because of my sympathy for Pike and Dinklage, and their performances in previous roles. Other than that, its zero for me. Lack of storyline, ending without any sense whatsoever, left me canfused, but more importantly, disappointed.
The Others (2001)
the one with beautiful chills
It may be titled as a horror and i understand why, even trough i found its aesthetic and the dialogues way more important than the so-called scary parts.
by the time the truth's been released, the whole film gets such new light it becomes one of the saddest yet most beautiful story.
just how much weight can be lift off of one's shoulder when they're ready to accept reality, whatever that may be for them. to me, that is what The Others 's message is about.
do recommend, even if you don't like 'scary movies', since even the chills it gives you can become comforting, once you let them. while watching, focus all your attention to The Others.
Carrie Pilby (2016)
lovely
Surprisingly delightful feel-good movie not only for the holidays. surely more people should see it!
13 Reasons Why (2017)
season 1 is why
About to start season4, but i already am sure it wont really worth it. season1 was The show, its so powerful it makes you keep watching the following seasons giving the hope of getting any of that season1 vibe back, but it just does not seem to get there again.
despite of a few worth-watching episodes, if you are concidering giving it a shot, i strongly recommend you to not get carried away with the promise of season one to season two and so on. do yourself a favor and let the first be the last, thus you'll get some pretty epic stuff thats gonna stay with you for quite a while.
Circle (2015)
pure nonsense
Never have i seen such nonsense before, absolute waste of time. by the end it only leaves you questioning your capability of choosing a film to watch. give it a go if you wanna feel stupid about yourself, seriously, go wash your car while parking outside in the rain, drunk-text your ex or whatever, none of those won't make you feel as dumb as spending one and a half hour watching circle.
