Deep Blue Sea 3 (2020)
interesting to say the least...
I went in expecting it first to be awesome, then slowly realized it would probably be trash, but it wasn't! there was some good acting, i dont know why everyone is saying its trash. some effects looked decent to good and it looked a lot more professional than the stain that was deep blue sea 2. the villian was okay, he was too generic and had really no personality and he had this stupid looking gun and kinda died really stupidly, twice, you'll know what im talking about if you saw it. i actually liked some of the characters and was a little sad when some died but not crying, and it was enjoyable at parts. but the pacing was weird. it takes really over an hour and 10 minutes for any shark stuff to happen and its mostly short and way too brief. really there's only 5 or so minutes or sharks in the film doing cool things so they really aren't a threat or at least not a lingering one. 50 minutes of the film is building characters and having the villain just beat up people, its kinda lame. i wish there were more sharks and also better characters cause that helps in any movie. also the effects sometimes look like ass, mainly the sharks most of the time. sometimes they look really good or like i said decent, but mostly really bad which is confusing as this film had a decent budget of 5 million dollars.
overall, worth a watch, not the worst thing ever but not nearly as good as the original.
my grades: C+, 6/10, 64%, if i could choose how much money i'd pay it would be $6.99
Scoob! (2020)
why...just why?
I didn't grow up with scooby doo that much, but enough to where i feel some sort of attachment. this was bad. the pros? decent animation and some good jokes. the cons? everything else. the voice actors don't put any real effort or sound like some discount version of the characters, which also suck. fred doesn't do any traps, Daphne makes friends with a robot which goes nowhere, and velma just finds out who the villian is (but the other characters also find out who he is not too long after so it's useless). they don't get any arc or anything interesting to do, and same with the blue falcon and the side kicks. the blue falcon turns out to be the dudes son and is so incompetent it's frustrating and the plot only moves because of some lazy writing and dumb decisions. this movie also has a lot of cringey jokes and no mystery aspect. we know who the villian is and there's no fun and a lot of jokes are cinge. simon Caldwell is in it, who I really dont like cause he's greedy and talent less and only got famous for being rude, for a dumb joke and Netflix has a joke and it's really bad too. it makes me wanna never watch this thing again. overall, really bad. the characters are bad, bad jokes, lame villian, decent animation and also a really corporate feel like it was just made for money and some dumb references. idc that it's a kid movie, kid's deserve a smart plot, good characters, and much more, that's insulting to them when you just use their curiosity and attraction to cute things to squeeze money out of the parent's wallet and make them lose respect for kids movies in general.
Invasion (2019)
I think i did a pretty good job
I am not gonna be biased at all. this has flaws. but lets talk about the good. it is entertaining, it moves by so fast that the problems don't really bother you. some of the acting is pretty good or passable. and one of the deaths is really surprising and the ending is interesting. the bad: the rest of the acting is kinda bad. some scenes take away fro tension and some shots are kinda amateur and the other deaths could be better. and the characters are kinda stale ngl and I didn't care for them looking back and some things just dont make sense. but overall I am proud of what how this film turned out, I think I did well.
FoundFlix (2015)
awesome and necessary
If you are ever confused about a movie come to this guy. he takes request also. he is pretty cool and is really informative. my only small problem is that he covers the entire movie which at points is weird cause it's called ending explained. but other than that watch him. you will not be dissapointed at all!
Friday the 13th (1980)
dissapointing
This was really boring. the kills also mostly sucked and the whole below camera thing annoyed me. also it feels real cheap and as if a film student made it. some parts are entertaining like the ending but everything else is so boring and meh it's hard to talk about.
The Fanatic (2019)
a weird film to say the least
This isn't a good film. it was cringey at times and the acting was so weird and it generally had a weird tone to it. but I think if you watch this as an autistic person who is a fan its makes sense considering how he acts. I did feel for him but he was annoying but I think if his character was autistic it would kinda justify what he does. some lines are funny and kind of adorable in a way and I like the images of Moose. It's hard to say much in this format but watch it, it's not good but its enertainning and funny but also kind of sad.
Vengeance (2019)
a solid idea that ends up...for the most part being generic
B-
pros:this wasn't a fan film, this was an actual film with great cinematography.
the acting for the most part was rally good. I actually cared for some of the main characters, though only a couple of them. I like the whole tour at crystal lake aspect with the show. I thought it was neat. I think this film does do somethings new, has Jason Voorhee's father killing as well and Jason is pretty scary himself. I thought this was a quite scary and intense and entertaining film, only 94 minutes long. also the kills are very brutal and are amazing.
cons: The rest of the acting and characters aren't very good. the main teenager isn't too great and has some stiff lines. the rest of the characters were just there to die and have sex which they kinda do. they were pretty annoying and I was glad when they died. also some scenes were weird and a little amateur. the story even though is kinda new, generally feels the same for a lot of the film. some teenagers or people come to crystal lake and die. yea there's the whole revenge plot which is cool, but other then that, same thing. also a ton of the characters are only in a few scenes, take the sheriff, just gives orders then dies. also the inmates are just picking up trash then die. they are pointless characters. overall, this film is decent. good acting for the most part and great kills, but is generic and has lame characters.
The Jurassic Games (2018)
A really good film that doesn't deserve the hate
This was solid, the characters weren't amazing, but they had some traits and most of the acting was really solid and everyone (mostly) was trying. The effects are really good, everyone says they aren't. but this all takes place in a virtual world which explains if some cg isn't amazing, so quit it. this was really well paced and was never boring. the story could have been a little more unique, but I never once was bored or felt like this was a copy. check it out
Venom (2018)
A rather good film that had even better potential!
I don't understand all of the hate, I don't love this film, it felt a bit rushed, the villain was bland, wasted two characters, felt too short and like it didn't have a plot and it was rather tame. its a messy film, but a watchable and weird one too. Had loads of fun, the actors were good, nice action and it was funny and never boring. I don't really recommend buying it, but rent it. Final grade:B
The Last Guest (2017)
had so much potential!
This movie had a lot of potential, but it failed somewhat. the characters aren't well written and is overall, to damn generic. the final scene is so dumb. the soldiers are shooting at the guest but somehow miss. why? BECAUSE MOVIE! it wasn't sad and that problem sprouted from the fact that the characters weren't fleshed out at all. the animation is atrocious with the clipping through the ground thing. its so generic and cookie cutter that its noting good. And this is probably the best one!
