Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020)
Loved It!!
The battle of Kondhana captures your attention, the entire time. The story is well written and shot. The devilish yet funny smile of Saif Ali Khan as Uday Bhan and patriotic passion by Ajay Devgan as Tanhaji keeps your eyes glued to the screens. Even Kajol as Tanhaji's wife, Savitribai, makes her limited screen time count with a convincing performance. Loved it !!
Thackeray (2019)
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's acting rescues the poorly written dim political biopic.
Director: Abhijit Panse
Producer and Writer: Sanjay Raut, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shiv Sena
Story:
Thackrey revolves around the life of late Bal Keshav Thackrey, as he goes from being a cartoonist to founding a political party, Shivsena for the Maharashtrians and how he became the most influential person of Maharashtra.
Review:
Thackrey movie shows the famous and not so popular life incidences of the Bala Saheb Thackrey, going through the crucial moments which made him, one of the most influential people ever born in the state of Maharashtra.
However, the movie fails at capturing the attention of the viewers and one will find it very hard to concentrate at the film throughout the 2 hours and 19 minutes. With a poorly written script, one finds it difficult to connect with the movies when movies go ahead showing the life of Bala Saheb Thackrey.
It is more like different new pieces reporting the incidence rather than being a movie.
If you are looking for a nicely written script with amazing shots, the movie is not for you.
One must only go if you would want to know about the life of Bala Saheb Thackrey.
Verdict: 2/5
Four More Shots Please! (2019)
Four More Shots Please is a failed attempt to entertain the Generation of Millennial.
Review:
The story revolves around the life of four women, Damini, Siddhi, Anjana and Umang's day to day life dealing with romance, work-life conflicts and ambition anxieties.
Four More Shots Please (FMSP) by Amazon is a failed attempt to break the previous notions of the Bollywood's romcoms and passing the benchmark of the Millenial generation catering to their taste of entertainment which doesn't follow the rules of the older generation.
However, it clears fails at its attempts of doing so.
FMSP clearly gains the attention of the viewers in every episode with wit and humour and fantastic cinematography but fails at connecting the dots to the consecutive episodes and the way.
Apparently, series could have a better ending but failed at it.
Overall, FMSP could have been a fantastic series however pathetic storyline bares it from doing so.
Rating: 3/10
