A disappointing experience that is a let-down in a massive way..! Julia Roberts is so annoyingly apathetic and obnoxious, it's cring worthy..
Mahershala Ali plays George. H. Scott (G. H) He carrys the film throughout, and gives at least a warm authentic performance. Ethan Hawke plays Clay, the husband and father of the two kids with Amanda. He & the whole movie seemed a little detached. Yes, thats the word I was searching for..
I am confused totally with what this movie is all about, let alone the storyline..?
Julia Roberts' role (Amanda) is so nasty and angry, to be honest, she's quite confusing.. All those deers that turn up in the back yard just staring at Amanda & Ruth, George. H. Scott (Mahershala Ali daughter) screaming at them, was weird. The autistic daughter Ruth only cares about watching 'Friends' and frankly, only herself. Archie, their son happens to get a tick bite, which then causes most of his teeth to fall out??
Still, I find the whole movie confusing and choppy.. I know Julia Roberts is a fan favourite but, her movies are a hit & miss.. She seemed pale and guant.. Maybe she was meant to look that way, who knows. I just know that I was just so bored and I couldn't wait for it to end.
I wouldn't recommend that you watch this film :(

A memorable performance by Jeremy Brett and Gayle Hunnicut in 'The Scandal in Bohemia'
Of all the episodes and series shown on Granada tv, this is one of the most memorable...!
When 'The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' was first shown on tv, I didn't have the chance or time to watch it.. Having now watched the repeated four series on Itv4, I was really impressed with how accurate the storylines were to the Conan Doyle books.. Jeremy Bretts' version of Sherlock Holmes is fantastic and, as authentic as any of the books written that I have read.
Edward Hardwick plays 'Dr John Watson'. His take on this character is also as authentic as Bretts Holmes himself. Hardwick brings sophistication to the role, which complements Bretts' camp delivery.. Holmes impulses and strokes of genius combined with Watsons calm demeanour, play to the audience superbly. The numerous cast are impressive, talented and inspirational. A fantastic 90's series should not be missed:)
I recommend that you watch each and every series, beginning with 'The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, ending with the fourth series 'The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes'.. You will not be disappointed..!!!

What has happened to all the good writers of this (once loved series)? The actors chosen are not on the same calibre as previous series. That new Executive ADA Nolan Price, played by Hugh Dancy, is a poor choice and, he has not been able to win me over at all..
I find him wooden, lethargic and trying way too hard to be noticed (all in the wrong direction) I have tried repeatedly watching this new series after it was built up so highly to get into it but, to no avail..
ADA Samantha Maroun playedby (Odelya Halevi) is an empathetic and believable; a much better actor than her counterpart...
Please, if there is going to be another series, change the Executive ADA.!!! Liking Detective Jalen Shaw (Mehcad Brookes) and Lieutenant Kate Dixon (Camryn Manheim) Great actors..
Hugh Dancy is not on their level at all..!
A far cry from Jack McCoy, Jamie Ross, Briscoe, Curtis and Green. They were a real team worth watching.!!!
