I'm an alien. Some ***hole stole my ship and haven't returned.
Favorite movies: Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Avengers, Assault on Precinct 13 (1971), Jurassic Park, Count of Monte Cristo (2002), Twister and the Lion King.
Not favorites, but movies that I can watch when TV does the honor of airing them: LotR triology (the third somewhat less than the others), Vanishing on 7th Street, Super 8, We bought a Zoo, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Poseidon, Iron Man, the Naked Gun triology, Trouble with the Curve, Hot Shots, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Blazing Saddles, and a few others yet to be made.

Last tv-show standing: The Walking Dead. Watching the survivors having to struggle with the reality of their situation, against the best and the worst of mankind that comes along with it, and a neverending horde of zombies keeps my interest like nothing else. Who can you trust in a world of survival of the fittest, fastest, smartest, and the selfish? Would you put down your weapon in the face of strangers?
Longrunner Emmerdale had it's up and downs. One can watch, or one can let it be. I swear, that show started long before I was born, and still it might survive me.
Gave up on NCIS a good while ago. Characters became stale and predictable. The characters, not the cases alone was what got me into NCIS in the first place.

Worst movie I've personally watched: Mummy Maniac. I can't begin to imagine what they thought when they made it. I dare anyone to watch this from start to end, and if you succeed without feeling an IQ loss, good for you, you're stronger than me. Whenever I see a "worst movie ever" thread, I believe this movie could be a strong contender.
Though truth to be told, the abomination that is that movie has gotten some serious contenders.
"Dead Clowns" and "The Hospi+al" comes first to my mind. I couldn't get past these either.
Rants of a tired fellow:
Some movies today just don't have it:
Either I'm getting spoiled when it comes to movies, or they're getting worse, or it's simply a combination of both. As a "spoiled" moviegoer, I need a bit of "life and soul" in my movie. If the characters in a movie doesn't act like they're in it, be it a drama, action, thriller, horror, all the above, etc etc, then the movie loses alot of its appeal (with the occasional exception) and I just tire of watching it. Soulless movies, chugged out with neckbreaking speed in hope of making a quick buck.
Making a good movie isn't something someone just sit down and does over the weekend. In a perfect world, *someone* would at least try. But in 85% of the cases, money always rules to the point where effort is abandoned (let me tell you, if all jobs in the world was handled like the movie industry, general quality - and happy customers would making a deepdive). And the rare gems keeps getting rarer. And I seek refuge in films made over 20 years ago, when movie atmosphere mattered.
