Saw this with beers and expected to laugh at the whole thing, but this was below all. I'm not sure why they made it in the first part...
The name of the movie is really the best part of it all. Period.
The effects are extremely unrealistic and there's no feel at all, as soon as the sharktopus shows up it's so detached from the environment to the point it feels like watching a cartoon blended with live characters or vice versa - in other words... too damn noticeable! Imagine a cartoon shark in a shark movie, would that put you off? If yes: Don't see this.
Not to mention the poor bloopers in it (aside from the sharktopus), there are a lot of mistakes all the time that also made me disconnect from the "story". This is a piece of CRAP!

(this contains NO spoilers but bloopers)
Most... confusing... series... ever! I feel it could be done with far less timejumps (or better combined ones would be just as good), it's not that I didn't understand, it's just the way it was made. It made it more confusing and annoying then enjoyable most of the time. The pace of it all seamed very forced, like watching a hamster on cocaine.
Also, I saw some bloopers that could have been fixed. Did Uwe boll direct this? :-P Things like, filming a car in highspeed and you could see the videocrews road-dust from their car before the filmed car. The rain and thunder, but full sunlight. Sure, it happens sometime but felt like a unlogical miss, usually its not full bright daylight when it rains that heavily.
Stuff like that put me out of the "mood" so to speak. It was hard to maintain a grip and get sucked in, the suspense was lost over and over. This combined with plot holes and the jumps in time, back, forward abit, back some mins here, back some months there, back to present. New character - same story all over.
The flashbacks are (if well done) a really nice feat, but in this show it is far to many AND most importantly - they could have done it without so many jumps and still explain the same things. It feels like they didn't get enough time to think things over "Damn, we have 2 days to publish the pilot, hurry!"
