Great movie. One small portion of Roman era shown without the glamour confines of documentary and Holywold historical epics from the 60/70 ies and action packed movies like Gladiator. Excellent photograpy, great actors,outstanding down-to-earth story about taxes and sheer stupidness of incompetant fools in charge of situation which they are not qualified for. Movie was produced with limited resources and without grandiosity but it managed to captivate the essence it tries to convey with excellent scenes and authentic behaviour which would not be possible if this was made in Holywood. Grit,hardness,hopelessness show some of the reality from the era.
Annihilation Earth (2009)
Perfect for...
...background tv while working. Gave it a 10 since it made me laugh so hard while listening confederate version of Deana Troy. Also I like the ending since it gets boring with last minute saves.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Kurtzman doesn't get it
Thats it; Kurtzman doesn't get Star Trek,post Discovery series show progress but STD is so off that it should not be under same franchise. Its good sci-fi but in its entirety looks like they taken star trek buzz words and mixed them with random stuff just to make a show.
