Some shows just have it
Full of holes, annoying at times but damn this is a good show. The main actress is superb and her character is so much fun. I know somethings good when I want to repeat watching scenes because they just give that feeling. This all mixed with an incredible sondtrack and some great action sold this show for me.

Don't expect action
I am not sure what people want these days, non stop action...then they will say where is the story? A slower more nuanced crime drama, then its to slow, boring or uninteresting.
As for this show yes it is slow and drawn out at times, but goddamn is it good! It gets better and better with every episode. The story is honest and brutal, with no special effects or overglamorization of the violence. The acting is superb throughout and even though few of the characters are likeable the show still manages to generate a feeling of empathy for them.
I love a good crime/gangster drama and all I can say in summary is please give me more shows of this quality, big props to Clare Dunne she is fantastic.
The Shadow Line (2011)
Brilliant dark gritty crime drama
Super under appreciated show, it's slow paced but keeps you enthralled the whole way with plenty of twists and turns. Highly recommended.
Yellowstone (2018)
What a fantastic show
Into season 3 and after 2 fabulous seasons my expectations were high to say the least. Eight episodes in now and nothing has happenned of note I mean absolutely nothing. Yet It just does not matter I love every second of it. The lifestyle portayed, the scenery, the atmosphere, the acting, the cinematography, the subtle moodiness are all just superb. Every episode is riveting from start to finish and I cannot recommend this show highly enough.
Cursed (2020)
Not as bad as some would have you believe.
This show does not know what its trying to be, a teenager romp, an adult fantasy or a dramedy. It certainly convolutes the story of Arthur and not for the better, is it terrible, no, I found it watchable at least. With regards to the complaints about Arthur being black, who gives a damn as long as the characterisation and acting are good, which they were not.
L'immortale (2019)
Ok maybe not the best but
I still loved it, the setting, the scenery, the atmosphere. the music are all superb. The plot could of been better, but who cares Ciro is back.
Villain (2020)
Average Crime Drama
Enjoyable enough but not alot of substance, with an obvious ending seen before. If the film had been fleshed out a bit in the right places it could of been very good, but there were so many glaring holes in parts of the story which should of been covered in further detail.
The Informer (2019)
Fantastic crime drama
Got to say I am so bored of the all action over the top ridiculous darling films of Hollywood these days. This is the complete opposite, a simple crime thriller with a bit of action and superb acting from the majority of the cast.
Ofcourse you can pick holes throughout but thats per the course of the majoity of movies. I wish critics would not lambast such good movies for whatever reasons they have, I sometimes wonder what planet the majority of these idiots are on, all they do is stop the development of more of these great drama's.
ZeroZeroZero (2019)
Superb atmospheric crime drama
Am I biased, yes because I absolutely love the Gomorrah tv series written by Roberto Saviano (As is the book for this series). In fact I was looking to see if there would be a season 5 just the other day and I came across this new show.
The pacing, the music, the acting, the suspense are all perfect, it's fabulous. I have only seen 2 episodes but I have little doubt the rest of the show will continue with the high standards already set out. Simply put I love these slow moving provocative crime drama's, which don't have the typical over the top action.
Godfather of Harlem (2019)
Got everything but
I am not sure how to review this, it should be great, amazing even but it just lacks the atmosphere you tend to associate with a mob film or series. Everything is a little rushed, the build up, the confrontations, the action, leaving a feeling of a lack of depth and seriousness.
Sadly even after 2 episodes I find myself without any interest in any of the characters. I will continue watching in the hope things improve.
Gomorrah (2014)
The best show on tv
God I love this show, it's dark, can be depressing, but oh so beautiful at the same time. The filming, scenery is superbly done. The acting is perfect with characters briliantly depicted and the story keeps evolving getting better with time.
Even though I need the subtitles which I often find a chore to follow I have no problem when it comes to this show, in fact it has some of the best episodes of any show I have ever had the pleasure of seing.
Top Boy (2011)
Dark, gritty realistic drama
What a joy to watch, no special effects, no ridiculous story lines, no unrealistic action scenes, no superheroes...I could go on but won't bore you.
This is an atmospheric slow paced brutal drama highlighting the dark side of London's estates, yeah I am sure it's not a perfect depiction but it does not matter. It portrays is a truly frightening world for these young kids and does it brilliantly.
Shaft (2019)
Not good
This film is so cheesy, stupid and boring, it's beyond bad. The only shining light is S. Jackson.
Bosch (2014)
Easily the best cop show on tv
This is a superb show, great acting, fantastic cast, interesting police work and most importantly for a cop show it is plausible.
I love it.
Monarca (2019)
Reasonably entertaining show
I enjoy'd the show. Would of been improved by removing the sometimes ridiculous decision making of the main characters, though this seems part and parcel of modern tv shows.
Having said the above I will definately be watching a second season if there is one.
Prodigal Son (2019)
What's the point?
Yet another potentially good drama with an interesting premise ruined by the needless inclusion of comedy and light heartedness.
