It's an excellent adaptation. We start with an amazing Photography, good representation of the scenarios and creative direction with an approach that respects the original work. They also adapts the events of the book with dedication, and makes use of resources such as conceptual shots to add to the narrative. At the same time it respects in the ethnic and cultural aspect what Colombia is, as a people and society. Traditions, music, food and diversity of races are part of what the Macondo universe is, as well as the history that makes up the years of a violent past in Colombia. This gives way to what is its chronology, which is perfectly threaded, which results in a somewhat different product in its content, but not in a negative connotation for the development of the story. It is, in fact, a work with a lot of dedication, and pretty faithful that evokes the nostalgia of what is a hundred years of solitude and the artistic impact that it had for subsequent generations influenced by Latin American literature and the work of García Marquez.
OKAY! NETFLIX COOKED WITH THIS!! Besides the first 3 episodes being kind of slow. When it got to the 4th episode it started to pick up and the world building, character development, writing, story and animation + Jentry's having badass fire/dark powers, all of theses things were dope and I hope we get a season 2 because I NEED MORE OF THIS WORLD!! Super glad netflix is pushing more Anime stuff out.
"Jentry Chau vs The Underworld" is a great animation series from Netflix! With world building that is interesting and enjoyable. The story and writing is also very engaging with each episode that goes by. And I was OBSESSED with the character development in this show! Especially with Jentry since 1. She had fire powers and 2. Dark powers! So I knew I was going to enjoy this but I didn't expect this to be this good since it is Netflix after all, but I was wrong and this actually PRETTY GOOD !!

For people who will appreciate this and it's your cup of English tea, I thought this was brilliant and one of the best watches of the Year. It's also about as seasonal as Bad Santa. There's hints of Guy Richie and Quentin Tarantino weaved into the tone, the cast is absolutely brilliant: it's gripping , bloody and hysterical all at the same time. The bit players are anything but, they are hysterical; leads are incredible, not just Knightly who is superb. Awards coming The writing is just miraculous and you need to sit back and enjoy the ride. I don't know about You but Obviously I highly recommend.
