Hey there, hope you are well whoever is reading this. So, Smile 2...
This is much better than the first, more elaborate, more engrossing, better storyline and acting.
Cast gets a big thumbs up, Naomi Scott gave a great performance, some of the predicaments her character gets into are like "what the F would you do!"
Special effects are good, not the best but acceptable. Make up did really good job, outfits etc were spot on and the lead was believable as a pop star, which is an achievement in itself.
Ok, i'll not give any spoilers, question is did it scare me?
YES in parts as it is unpredictable, this thing, whatever it is, is a real nasty pasty.

Ok, we'll begin with the beginning, the lead, the protagonist, the underdog hero... i'll just come out and say it, he was completely underwhelming, i didn't have a clue who he was nor did i gravitate to his character at all by the end of the film, they got it wrong.
Next, the CGI, it was like something from the early noughties, very poor for a blockbusters sequel, i thought i was watching an early franchise of Planet of the Apes at one point it was that bad.
That's the bad out the way, which fundamentally ruined the whole film, but in life we have to focus on the positives and there were some...
The two evil tyrants, Geta and Caracalla were great and Denzel was good but we've come to expect that from him.
Storyline yes, it kinda made some sense but in the whole it missed the mark for me.

Actually a half decently executed survival at sea-situ-film, the dialogue wasn't Tarantino but it was better than most random picks i've watched, some funnyish bits and some abit cringe, i like Natalie Mitson (Kayla) as an actress she has something quite intense about her.
Only thing i will say is they missed a trick on making a superhero out of one girl by not actually killing a shark with a knife, i feel that would of catapulted the character and the film into a memorable one, if she went abit ape and looked abit like somethin off Carrie, shouting "I'm getting married tomorrow you bastard!!!" (the lass from Manchester ;)
To say these girls arn't mega stars it was actually a good effort to stretch a simple concept so long.
