The Da Vinci Code (2006)
Don't listen to the critics, or in some cases the priests...its good.
I'm a not so picky (movie-wise), 13 year old, raised at a Christian private school, CATHOLIC. And despite all that I loved this movie. It was a great Fictional - do i need to repeat the word FICTIONAL!? - movie. The book (which, yes, I did read) was slightly better, basically I thought it had a better ending and had more depth into Sophie's character and her relationship with her grandfather and her family. The movie, if you don't compare it to the book, was simply excellent. But, since I read the book, I was yelling (in my head) at the movie because the events of the book were so fresh in my mind.
The only part of this that I was truly upset about was the ending and how the books was much better, but thats about it. If you liked the book, or haven't read it at all, then go see this movie. The acting is wonderful and so is the story.
Poseidon (2006)
Excellent, I almost cried...
OK, 13 year old girl view on the movie:
I thought it was great, really. The beginning when they introduced all the characters I thought that you could get to know them if you tried and paid attention to the conversations. Sure parts of it were predictable, but that didn't make them boring really. I was gasping, trying not to cry and looking away at parts that I knew would happen, as well as parts that I didn't see coming. I liked how it ended, I liked how it began, I liked the middle, I basically liked it all. Sure I probably will never go on a cruise on New Years Eve, but I'm sure I'll live.
Now I can't write a review on this movie without making a comment on the music, because I'm such a BEP fan. Fergie - or should I say: Ms. Stacy Ferguson - did a wonderful job with her songs, they really fit the movie. (And also I liked the way she died, it was very sad and in my opinion brave, how she was so calm, i thought she would have been screaming like the rest of the people.)
The people who wrote her part, and Fergie herself, the people who wrote the whole thing, did not disappoint, and neither did this movie.
Fainaru fantajî X-2 (2003)
Call me crazy but....I actually liked it people!
I had never before even thought about playing a FF game in my life. That was until this one came out. It's not like the rest of them I'll assure you of that, well except X. There were parts in the dialog where I was like 'what the hell' and others i almost fell out of my chair laughing. That was mostly whenever Paine or Rikku said something funny(or stupid) I loved the characters, some though I wanted to find on the business end of Paine's rather large sword. But I liked the characterization of YRP, Yuna matured, Rikku...somewhat, but Paine I think 'grew' the most. There were, I'll admit, some questions in the story line that I would have liked to have answered. Some say there were too many side missions that had nothing to do with the plot when in fact: THEY DID! OK so the monkey thing...Stupid, boring, i could go on and on about that one. But other things led you deeper into the original thing.
So in short: Love the game, Love the plot (so sweet), and Love YRP.
And if you think this game is sexist ladies (or gents)...grow up! I'm a girl and I love it (just ignore the costumes like i do (Lady Luck dressphere must burn!)
10/10
