South Park: The Streaming Wars (2022)
No jokes
Where is the humour? What a talentless episode from legends. Wtf. So dissapointing. If this is good I dont wanna be a part of it. 🤣 South Park needs to get back at its roots. Do they think this was funny?
Team Antonsen (2004)
Creative show better than SNL
So many ideas and different types of sketches. Unlike most shows of comedy this contains a lot of variation. Sure there are some less funny bits but the show gets better and better after a few episodes. I enjoy the competitions between the comedians and also their running gags. Classic!
Uti vår hage (2003)
Funniest Norwegian show ever!
So many classic lines and scenes in this show. The Danish, Oslolosen, Flåttmannen, Noregs Målag. For me these are the pinnacle of Bård and Haralds carreer. Atle is also very funny. I prefer his sketch comedy to his serious acting roles. I met Harald Eia once and asked him if they ever would make a third season. He said no because wearing a wig as a character in his age would be cringe. Too bad but perhaps its best not to ruin it all because the two seasons are really good.
South Park: Post Covid (2021)
Doesnt feel like a movie at all - more like a stretched episode and a bad one
Where are the laughs? I feel like fans who liked this has a low bar. There are hardly any gags or interesting ideas. I feel less funny after watching this turd. The Terrance and Phillip episode is better than this one. If you made a compilation of all the funny parts it would only be like 5 minutes, less than most good episodes. I love South Parks classic episodes but this made me think that Matt and Trey arent as clever these days. And the fact that fans love it makes me question how future episodes will be. Horrible!
South Park: Post COVID - The Return of COVID (2021)
Worst of South Park
I did not laugh once. Usually in the best episodes the jokes are plenty and the creativity is there but I was just insanely bored with this. If you made a compilation of the funny moments of this it wouldnt be half the lenght of any episode like in previous seasons. This is proof that the way they make episodes (in a short time) isnt always effective. If you showed this to anyone as an introduction of South Park they would be turned off. I wanted to like this but nothing was there. If they continue this path Im going to be sad.
Pterodactyl (2005)
Did anyone actually expect this to be any good?
This movie is absolutely horrible. I can't believe something like this can be distributed on DVD. Everything about this movie is a huge mess. The most disappointing thing about the movie is that it was made from the same director who made the epic masterpiece "Commando". It made me realise how accidental genius Commando was. Obviously Mark L. Lesters career has been going straight down the hill. This movie makes "PIECES" look like art.
The effects are incredible dreadful. The animatronics and latex dolls looks really cheap, but the CGI is really crap. In some scenes you can even tell that they have used the same CGI loop over and over again. This movie reminds me why CGI sucks compared to old school effects because the CGI is nothing but laughable.
Unfortunately the CGI isn't the worst part about the movie. I'm talking about the acting. Nothing can prepare you for the acting, seriously. Unless you have seen "TROLL 2", "PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE" or "MEXICAN WEREWOLF IN Texas" you don't know what you're getting into. These people should be banned from acting. Coolio really steals the show though, playing a real badass. That guy will probably act in almost anything.
Even though I think this is a piece of crap. I still enjoyed it to a certain extend. I knew from the beginning of the film exactly what kind of film this was going to be. I mean, it's a freakin dinosaur movie with Coolio. Who could possible expect this to be any good? If you are interested in bad movies then I recommend it, but if you are interested in a really cool dinosaur movie then stay the f*** away from Pterodactyl. Watch Jurassic Park instead.
Street Trash (1987)
Trash heaven
Street trash is the holy grail of trash and exploitation movies. Every scene in this movie is completely ridiculous. The director obviously doesn't want it to get boring for a single second. It contains some of the sickest and weirdest scenes I have seen. Most of the most memorable scenes are the melting scenes which has some great special effects. The gore is absolutely fantastic. My favorite scene in this is movie involves a castration and a sick idea for a sport. Another favorite is a hilarious shoplifting scene with amazingly randomness. To quote the tagline from "Tales That Witness Madness" (1973);"
your mind won't believe what your eyes see." The plot is very thin, but the characters and exploitation scenes are the main reasons why this movie works. The plot doesn't really matter that much. Just enjoy the wild ride of absurdity and exploitation.
The movie reminds me of such Troma films as "The toxic Avenger", "Class of Nuke'em high" and "Terror firmer". So if you enjoyed these titles, you will probably love Street trash.
Mexican Werewolf in Texas (2005)
Some of the worst acting ever!
First of all "Mexican werewolf in Texas" is not a werewolf movie. This title is bullcrap. The story is actually about a Chupacabra that kills all the local villagers in the little town of Furlough in Texas. I suppose the distributors renamed the original title so that it would make some extra bucks or something. And I guess it actually works because that's the reason why I bought this piece of crap, it sounded so stupid. Anyway the movie isn't any good. Actually it's bloody awful. But I didn't expect anything else when I bought it. It's a low budget horror movie with a Chupacabra monster. If you enjoy low budget horror with bad dialog, actors and some gore then you should check into this movie. But I must warn you, this movie is really baaaaaaad.
This movie has some of the worst acting I have ever seen. The actors try to hard and t it gets completely ridiculous. They almost never say a line in a normal way. They always have this completely wrong tone about just everything they say. It's so stupid it almost looks like a freakin parody. It's like they shot each scene only one single time and were happy about it. The worst of them all is the blond girl which is supposed to play a bimbo. She's the worst of them all. I have never seen an actor as bad as her (And I've seen Pteradactyl). Even when her boyfriend dies she can't stop being a bimbo about it. I hate her.
Some of the shots in this movie were actually quite good. The ones that where shot in the daytime are all pretty decent for a low budget project. But most of the movie is shot in the night when the Chupacabra strikes and the lighting is way too dark. The gore scenes are few and short, but really grizzly and violent. The effects are pretty hilarious really, but that's the way I like it. The Chupacabra looks pretty messed up, and it's easy to see that it's a guy in suit.
Overall this movie should only be watched by extreme fans of low budget flicks and it's very important to not watch this alone because you will probably be bored to death. I recommend watching this flick with your friends and some beer.
Mangiati vivi! (1980)
Underrated cannibal classic
I'm a pretty big fan of the cannibal genre and I find this to be one of my favorite cannibal movies. Eaten alive is in my opinion extremely underrated and not nearly as appreciated as it should be. It is everything you want a cannibal film to be. It contains violent and graphic death scenes, dismemberment and rape. Some of the scenes are only stock footage from other cannibal movies, but it all adds up to that exploitation trashy feeling we all came to see. I mean, it's an exploitation movie from Lenzi. That's what you get. There is a lot of fast zooming and bad scripting which is hilariously entertaining.
It may not be as good as Cannibal Holocaust, and it is certainly not as violent and gruesome as Cannibal Holocaust. But overall it is a highly entertaining and cheesy cannibal movie which delivers the goods. If can also recommend JUNGLE HOLOCAUST, CANNIBAL FEROX and ZOMBI HOLOCAUST.
Mannen som elsket Yngve (2008)
Back to the 80's!
Mannen som elsket Yngve is a heart-warming story which will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Now keep in mind that I did not read the book which this movie was based on by Tore Renberg. But this movie actually made me want to check it out. I loved the script and the characters were good and original. The music which is chosen is also great and really fits that whole 80's theme. It's very clear that the makers used a long time picking out every song. I almost felt like I was back in the 80's of Norway. I simply loved all the small details throughout the film such as posters, behaviors and clothing.
My favorite thing about this movie is the mix between humour and drama. The only bad thing I can say about this film is that it is too short. I think some of the scenes should last longer. The scenes where Yngve and Jarle met each other for the first time went too fast. Now as I said, I don't know how the book is. But anyway it's still a great movie.
Ooru naito rongu (1992)
Dark and depressing
You should really give this movie a chance. At first when I started viewing this film it looked really crappy and low quality at first. The shots and colors were really bad; you could clearly notice that it was made by amateurs. But as I sat there I got more and more into the story. After a while I was completely hooked. The story builds up in such a great way. You don't really know what's going on at first. But after a when you find out, you almost get obsessed with it. I enjoyed the movie a lot The main message in All Night long is about how cruel and full of s*** human beings can be, especially men. It has a very depressing theme. There are no happy endings here. The atmosphere in the movie was really a depraved and dark. The movie is very silent in most of the scenes. There is almost no music, mostly noises. So when the violent parts of the movie starts to kick in the music stops. This is a great dramatic effect which makes it seem so much brutal.
The first All Night Long movie is defiantly the nastiest one. It has a lot of brutality and gruesome rape in it. It is very hard to watch. Not for those with weak stomachs. In some way it reminded me of a rape-revenge movie.
Ooru naito rongu 3 saishû-shô (1996)
Good just like the first two
The movie wasn't really as gory as All Night Long 2 but it did have a few nasty scenes in it anyway. The blood and gore isn't really the most disturbing part of the movie anyway. It's the rape scenes which seems most gruesome to me. If you haven't already heard about the All Night Long movies then you should know that it is defiantly not for those with weak hearts. It has a lot of rape and sadism in it which I guess that every movie in the All Night Long-series has. There is no music in these awful scenes either. This brings up the shock value in the movie and also gives the whole thing more of a realistic.
The atmosphere is very depressing and dark. Which all of the All Night Long movies are famous for. They try to show how crap some humans can be. And the moral is that all human beings are only living garbage.
Now the quality of the movie isn't really that good. The director probably didn't use a very good camera. And most of the scenes are shot really bad. But it actually makes the movie even more realistic and disturbing. So it all adds up. I actually enjoyed the story, even though it got a little bit stupid at the end. So, if you like underground Japan shock films or any of the other All Night Long flicks then this could be something for you.
Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)
Amazing
As you may have heard Elvis died of an overdose in a toilet in Graceland
This is not true at all! He is still alive, and now lives under the name of Sebastian Haff in a terrible retirement home in East-Texas. You see Elvis changed his identity with Sebastian Haff, but never changed it back. Nobody believes him; accept his buddy Jack (Ossie Davis), a black old man who believes he is really John F. Kennedy. But something spooky is happening in the retirement home. There seems to be a 3000 year old soul-sucking mummy there too, which appears only at night
Even thought the story may be the weirdest thing you have ever heard, the movie actually works! The story is based on a novel by Joe R.Lansdalem. And with the great acting of Bruce Campbell as Elvis and Ossie Davis, what can go wrong?
What Genre is it? It has a little bit of comedy, drama, action and horror. It's hard to tell, and I think it's an own genre. That's what's makes this movie so special. All from the first scene when Elvis talks about his Cancer on his Penis you know what you're getting.
I'm a huge fan of Bruce Campbell, and I must say this is his best picture. Just like SFX magazine said: "THE KING OF COOL IS THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL. He does an absolutely phenomenal job. Many people will probably argue this with me, but he does such great acting. The thing about Bruce is that in almost every movie or series he has a role in, he is always a different character, from "Evil Dead" to "Jack of all Trades". Ossie Davis is also very good, when he said that he was JFK in the movie, I actually believed him.
Don Coscarelli is the Director, and you may know him from the Phantasm series. And once again he does an excellent job directing this instant classic.
Overall this is a very touching movie with great comedy and suspense. I highly recommend it.
Ps. Be sure to get the double disk Special Edition from Anchor Bay, which has lots of great Bonus Material.
Schramm (1993)
A masterpiece
More of an art-house film than a horror really. But this German "poetic" film really doesn't disappoint at all, it surprises! And it's not something that should not be missed. Often compared to such great serial killer films as "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" and "Maniac" probably because the movie wants to show us the story from the killers point of view. It tries to lead us into the mind of the murderer. Schramm does this in the best way, it's a really bizarre experience. This may seem weird, but the movie is actually very beautiful. Of course not everything in it is. But some of the scenes in Schramm have such wonderful cinematography that really hard to imagine that it's such a low budget film. Buttgereit really has a great artistic style.
Many people think that the film is just another gore film, from the guy who made "Nekromantic", well I can tell them that they're wrong. This film is not something you would see for gore and blood. Even there are a few really nasty scenes, which are really nasty.
Now the music is one of the best highlights of the movie, it really has a special atmosphere, a very dark and weird atmosphere too. And if you get the 2-disc DVD you get the movie soundtrack on a CD which I personally recommend.
Not for the general horror fan, but defiantly for any Buttgereit fans. Some would say that the movie is a little slow, but I don't agree. Watch it twice.
Meat Market (2000)
Its okay. Considering the budget
I'm not sure what to tell you about this film. It's just another crazy home-made zombiefilm with a bunch of bloody effects and bad actors. Its great fun for a day you're really tired and ready for some zombie-action. There is some blood and guts, the make-up effects on the zombies aren't that bad. And there are also some sex scenes. But it's nothing you haven't seen before. The thing about Meat Market is that some scenes work, and some don't. I think that the directors had too high hopes and visions for this movie. They just tried too hard. And you shouldn't do that when making movies with such a low budget as this. So a lot of the stuff in the film just makes you yawn and look at your watch. The story just doesn't seem to work, some of it does. But it just gets stupid after a while, especially when a bunch of vampires starts to show up in the middle of this mess with their lazerguns and long boring vampire stories to tell. It's embarrassing just to think about it. If you want to see a low-budget zombiemovie full of blood and a lot of brain eating zombies then I don't really recommend Meat Market, it's not worth it. If you're interested in the genre I should recommend "Dead Next Door", "Burial Ground" or "The Beyond". If you want to see this film you have got to be really interested in low budget horror.
The music can be quite annoying as well, but it's not that bad in some scenes. It doesn't always fit the situation, but most of it doesn't. It doesn't really have that entire "zombie look" over it. The theme always really fit the genre of the movie. The movie is not an entire crapfest .As I said there is some stuff in it that may interest you. I love to see how other amateur's film make their own stuff. You have got to give them some credit for trying though.
I have said this many times before about an independent no-budget film. But this time I really mean it...I could make a better movie than these guys! And if you have seen my stuff, then I think that speaks for itself. I think what the movie misses "that little extra". It's just the same again and again throughout the whole movie. But Meat Market isn't THAT bad. There are still some good highlights. Even some humour. And if you love stuff that is "so bad it's good" you should check out Meat Market.
A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)
Worst sequel
This is defiantly the worst Freddy movie in the series. Thankfully you don't necessarily have to watch the second Nightmare on Elm Street movie to understand the rest of them since the story has nothing to do with any of the other movies (except from the fact that Freddy's in it). This film is a perfect example of what a sequel NOT should look like. It's bloody awful! When I first saw this I thought this was the downward spiral for the Freddy series. And that the money I spent on the "A Nightmare on elm street box" was a waste of money. But thankfully I was wrong. The rest of the series wasn't all that bad as this one. Yep, it sucked that bad. Yet, I have to say it can be a little entertaining in some scenes. Freddy is still in it as promised, so there are some quality stuff. But if you're watching this movie you will pay more attention looking at your watch all the time, rather than looking at the film because this film is just boring and painful to watch.
For some people this may go in the "so bad, it's good" category. But for me it just didn't work out that way. It was a huge disappointment. The original A Nightmare on Elm Street movie is truly one of the best horror movies. It's a classic. And just after they made the film it made a really huge success and so I guess Hollywood wanted to exploit that.
The effects looked really terrible in the film. I normally love it when the effects look very cheesy, but it just didn't work out for me this time.
I guess if you're a Nightmare on Elm Street fan then this movie fan then this could be a little interesting. But if not, then I would skip this film and probably just catch another Elm Street movie instead
Day of the Woman (1978)
My favorite in the rape/revenge category
If you have never seen a rape/revenge film before, then let me tell you how it works. The plot is really easy. It's simply just about an innocent woman that loses her innocence by a group of rapists. Her life gets ruined and crushed. So she can never live with herself again, unless she kills the perpetrators. After her revenge, she can start her new life. The theme and subject around the genre is about how egoistic, cruel and assholes men can be. It's also about woman's being independent and taking care of business for them selves. Another title for this movie is actually "Day of the Woman". I think that speaks for itself.
This has to be the best of the rape/revenge films. Probably one of the most controversial movies out in the 70's. And there's a good reason for it too. The rape scenes are really brutal and strong to watch. There's hardly any music in it, and all of the cruel scenes are all really long so it all seem really realistic. There's nothing left to your own imaginations. They show everything in the rape-scenes. It's really graphic and disturbing. Call me sick, but I loved it! There's also some gore scenes as well. But there aren't buckets of blood, splattering body parts or anything. It's not that kind of a movie. Be sure not to get the UK version of this epic. The English version is so heavily cut that you won't even understand what's going on.
If you enjoyed the Swedish "Triller en grym film" then you will certainly find this very interesting as well. They're very similar, but I like the way "I spit on your grave" build up the plot better. You get to know the characters allot better. You even get a little sympathy for some of those who raped her. So it defiantly has a more realistic view. It's not like most exploitation or trash cinema. It is very professional and it sure doesn't fool around. All scenes are beautifully filmed and cinematography is great. I loved the locations and sets. I can't understand why this has gotten such a trash exploitation status. This is great stuff.
But there is some stuff about this film that seems a bit unreliable. But you shouldn't really pay attention to those minor details. There's not much bad to tell you about this film really. It's almost perfect. But there is this one thing that drives me nuts about the plot. Not all of the characters really deserved to die. There's this handicapped person that gets killed. And the guy didn't deserve that at all. It really upsets me. I won't spoil how and why, but watch the movie for yourself. You will probably understand what I mean.
If you're a very impatient person that's only out for the gore and blood in this film then don't watch it. A lot of the scenes are slow, and everything happens in just a few shots. Rape/revenge is not a particularly gory genre, but still...I really recommend it to anyone else. You shouldn't miss this one out.
Cannibal ferox (1981)
Great Cannibal Movie
Not as good as Cannibal Holocaust, but still a very good cannibal movie. The movie has obviously been influenced by the great Cannibal Holocaust, and has much similarity. Just like in Cannibal Holocaust the director tries to provoke and upset the viewers by showing as much s*** as possible. The movie is very well known for once being banned in 31 countries (probably a lie) and for the gruesome animal killings. Umberto Lenzi actually had to do some time in jail for making this film. And I can't say he didn't deserve it. The animal scenes are so unnecessary.
It's not as gory as Cannibal Holocaust, and doesn't have all those rape-scenes and stuff like that but the gore is still there, even though some of the effects don't look that convincing. Who gives a damn? It's an exploitation movie. The strange thing about the film is that some of the effects look like s***, but some of them are so good that you don't know how they did it. (The breast-scene).
The acting sucks big-time, but it's always funny to see bad actors trying to act. The movie doesn't really have a lot of humor, so the only humor you'll get is the bad acting. This is great.
This is one of those films where some of the elements in the film are very good and some are not so good. The quality is very mixed. But overall it is a very entertaining movie. Its not one of those film that you've got to see, but if you're a fan of the exploitation/cannibal genre, then I really recommend CANNIBAL FEROX.
Commando (1985)
Arnold at his best
This is one best action movies you'll ever see. It is packed with stupid one-liners and Rambo type action sequences. You can't take this movie serious for a second. The story is so stupid, but still so incredibly cool. I absolutely love it. It's hard to imagine that this is the same director that made the shitfest Pteradactyl. But on the other hand, I can understand it, because this is simply just accidental genius.
This movie is completely ridiculous from the very beginning. I dare say this is my favorite Arnold movie out of the so-bad-its-good movies he made. I also think this is the movie where he looks the most beef. This is Arnold in his younger years, before he made it really big in Hollywood. He looks really pumped up. This is from the years after he stopped his bodybuilding career. And it really shows in Commando. In the actions scenes he fights without a shirt, makes me really question my sexuality. The acting is absolutely horrible and the bad lines don't make it any better. This is the 80's at its best.
This is a great action movie. Grab some beers and snacks and watch this with your friends.
Yi boh lai beng duk (1996)
Wow! Now that's something you don't see every day.
When I bought this movie I didn't really have any expectations at all. I bought it online for a cheap price because a friend of mine recommended it. Wow, I'm sure glad I listened to him. Ebola Syndrome is really a lot of fun. It is packed with over-the-top violent scenes, but still has a lot of comedy and dark humor in it. This is a balances mix which makes the movie work. It does contain very graphic violence and even rape. So if you have a weak stomach I would advice you to avoid it. But what makes this movie really filthy and ugly is the main character of the story, Kai San. He really steals the show. Everything he does and says is both disturbing and funny in the same time. I won't go in to detail of the things that he does. But let's just say he's a really sick pervert with extreme needs.
It's hard to explain the tone of the movie. Because some scenes remind me of a horror movie, some reminds me of a comedy, and other scenes goes more into the thriller category. But still you can never really take everything too serious.
Ilsa the Tigress of Siberia (1977)
Great exploitation fun
Don't listen to the other reviewers. This is a great exploitation flick that delivers the goods. Sure this movie isn't as good as the first one, Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS. But this is my second favourite Ilsa movie. It's certainly better than the boring Wicked Warden. Ilsa, Tigress of Siberia is loaded with weird sex scenes and graphic violence. It doesn't really have as much blood and gore as the original either. But it doesn't matter in this movie. I actually found the story to be kind of interesting. Maybe that's just me, but compared to Wicked Warden and Harem Keeper this is a lot of fun, even though the first half of the movie is a little better than the second.
The thing I really liked about Ilsa, the Tigress of Siberia is the way the story is told. The storyline switches Anyone who is interested in exploitation movies should catch this movie.
Le notti del terrore (1981)
This is what zombie movies are all about
Burial Ground is one of the sleaziest, goriest, and weirdest movies I have ever seen. And I love it! The reason why it all works is because of the crazy and trippy atmosphere around it all. The music (If you can call it that) fits perfectly and the zombie makeup is one of the best I've ever seen. The story makes no sense whatsoever, but that's the way I like it. The movie doesn't spend much time fooling around. It gets right to the point, which is the blood and gore.
Also the movie has one of the most spaced out characters in the history of cinema. I'm talking about the young boy named Michael. Only he's not actually played by a little boy. He's actually played by an adult who looks like a ghost.
If you like Italian zombie movies than this is your wet dream. I highly recommend this to anyone interested exploitation.
Ice Cream Man (1995)
"That's classified ice cream man. Classified."
This movie is so bad; it's almost too good to be true. Believe me, I've seen a lot of bad movies over the years. I've seen everything from Troll 2 to Pteradactyl. Sure, these are some unintentionally hilarious movies. But nothing can compare to the Ice Cream Man. Ice Cream Man is a hilariously bad movie with terrible actors and even worse dialog. But the real hero behind all of this is Clint Howard, the Ice Cream Man. I cant believe this movie was made in the 90's. It looks like a cheap 80's movie. But what do you expect from a director which only movie experience is from porn movies.
I can't believe this is supposed to be a serious movie. The first time I watched this movie I had to rewind almost every scene. I couldn't believe my eyes. Where they really serious about this? At sometimes it seems like an exciting adventure movie for children, the ones where a group of kids make a secret club or something to catch the bad guys. Just like the Monster Squad. Other times it seems like a comedy, and some times even family movie. But then these nasty scenes appear and totally switch the tone of the movies so randomly. It's hard to explain, but I just can't seem to understand the setting of the movie, something that really bothers me about the movie. Not that you can take it seriously anyway.
I highly recommend this movie for anyone who loves trash cinema. This is accidental art.
Cani arrabbiati (1974)
Intense movie from Bava
This is one of my favorite Bava films. The way the characters and plot evolves throughout the picture is so intense and exciting. Acting is great. Great dialog, music, atmosphere and just about everything is perfect. The movie is very realistic. And it doesn't try to blow you away with cheesy explosions or wild car chases. Rabid Dogs simply shows you a realistic view of a hostage takeover. If you are interested in a dark and violent thriller then I highly recommend Rabid Dogs. It kind of reminds me of Reservoir Dogs, just without all of the flashbacks.
Overall this is a great movie with a different kind of genre from Bava. I won't spoil anything for you; all I can say is that everything can happen.
South Park (1997)
Funniest Cartoon on television
South Park is the funniest cartoon show on television. The writing is brilliant. And I love how they approach every topic they bring up on the show. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are one of the few comedians which can joke about almost everything and still make a good point. The characters are hilarious; Cartman, Randy and Mr Macky are amongst my favourites.
Many people will probably argue with me when I tell them that South Park is the greatest cartoon show ever. Most people will probably tell me that The Simpsons is a better show. Now, it's not that I don't like The Simpsons. It WAS a great show in the early seasons. But The Simpsons has gotten horrible over the past seasons. South Park on the other hand is still going strong. Even though some episodes are not as good as others, they are still good.
