Found this on Amazon Prime Video and they have the first 20 episode of Season 1 with English captions. There are 40 episodes total in Season 1 and don't know why Amazon doesn't have the full season. There is also a season 2, but that isn't on Amazon either.
I think the show is entertaining. Even if just for a slice of Russia. The main actors don't over-act but the minor players do seem to react more in a soap-opera way.
The plots for the mysteries I like even though I would say that about half I see the twist almost to start and wonder why the seasoned police don't look that way. The other half are a good surprise.
The frustrating part of the plot is that they have written the student cops to be a bit too childish for police in training. Stating facts about who is guilty and tackling people without evidence seems a little over the top. Even after the professor, Ekaterina Lavrova, tells them not to do something. I would normally lower the review more for this but it isn't too distracting once you know it is coming most of the time.
Svetlana Khodchenkova is a very strong lead and I don't want to say she caries the show, because of a couple other strong characters, but she comes close.
Good entertainment and wish I could see the rest of the episodes.
