Moonfall (2022)
went in expecting the worst. Pleasantly surprised.
Trailers made it look obnoxious as hell but it was very surprising. Exciting scifi, with lots of fantasy but still rooted in some interesting science (like what would happen if moon hit earth! Spoiler alert... the moon falls in this film)
If you are on the fence about watching it, and enjoy a good scifi sillyness with good feels all around!
FSM (2015)
The best of Independent film making.
The story is simple, but the emotions are complex and the soundtrack is bumping! This movie has everything you need to relive the horrors of being a single young adult from the safety of your couch.
Sam and her relationships (sexual and otherwise) are so real, and so relatable that this film feels like putting on an old classic like empire records, or pretty in pink but with modern influences of our tech-driven culture 20+ years later.
by the end, it's hard to tell what you are hoping to happen for the main character, but you are cheering for her all the same.
This updated, tragically romantic, and personal tale carries your interest from start to finish as you follow along with the perils of the dating scene in the 21st century.
