I preferred Us to Get Out as it was more of a traditional horror film. To start, some of the issues in a lot of horror films are present here, ie characters making poor decisions. But I guess if they weren't to make those poor decisions, we wouldn't have the film. I like the comedic elements and the way they were interwoven into the story, although I did think there was a bit too much comedy present in the film. But those are my only gripes. Lupita, Winston, and the children all give a remarkable performance as both the good and evil side of themselves. I don't think I've ever seen a better performance from Lupita in fact. I will definitely be watching this one again soon. I feel it will be even better after a second viewing. 9/10.
If you're expecting a superhero film I would suggest waiting for the next Marvel film. There a few action scenes, but this is more of a dark psychological thriller. Great performances from all of the characters, particularly James Mcavoy as Kevin. I would've liked more of a focus on David Dunn. But it was worth it to have the main focus on the titular character.
I felt more could've been done for the ending of this trilogy and some characters from the previous films didn't really need to make a return in this, but all in all I will definitely be watching Glass again, and I would suggest giving it a shot too!
With the amount of terrible remakes in horror at the moment this film is a blessing. Jamie Lee Curtis delivers a killer performance as the lead. And Mike Myers was terrifying as he should be, definitely not someone I'd ever want to mess with. I even enjoyed the bits of humour in the film! Will definitely be watching this again soon.
