I'll start with this: I have a funny feeling the reviewers that love this are older. As am I.
If you are looking for non stop action, big laughs or fast pace, this isn't it.
This is a feel good peaceful journey with a message. Beautiful acted (singing & piano) by Kelsey Grammer. Song writing by Rivers Cuomo! Good stuff.
Supporting cast; Jackson White is going to be a star. That's Katey Segal's son. He does a bang up job. Paris Jackson for the small amount they used her, is lovely. William Fitchner is very reliable. Julia Tells has great chemistry with Kelsey and Jackson.
I'm glad I ignored negative reviews and gave it a shot. I enjoyed it very much.

I came for Ryan and Rob. I stayed for the town, their love of their team and their undying support. A well made show with plenty of fun, touching moments regardless of your interest or knowledge of the game.
Rob is a real standout. I haven't seen Sunny in Philadelphia, but plan to watch now. Rob is extremely likable. Up against Ryan that's saying something - because Ryan is Mr. Popular. Rob comes across and someone who genuinely wants to invest in the team, town and all it entails.
The Wrexham team is plenty entertaining. Getting to know the players and their families. What it's like for pro sports players to be sidelined, injured, etc. Plus you see just how many people are involved in making a pro team work.
Wrexham is the underdog, a truly lovable one.
Come on Wrexham!!

I will start by saying you would be wise to not compare this to another series. Reacher is all of his own.
If you are a fan of the stories you will not be disappointed. This is finally the real Jack Reacher.
I am a fan of Tom Cruise movies but he was never meant to portray Reacher. He did not fit the bill in a physical sense. Not in the least. Alan Ritchson is on the mark, a huge hulking guy - maybe a bit too pretty but we can forgive that because the pacing of the show, casting, dialog (true to the book) and fight scenes are all on point.
Reacher is a man who wants to fight the good fight and right wrongs. Even if he's just arrived in town and doesn't know a soul. Whether it's taking down large operations or rescuing an abused dog. He doesn't blink at how many bodies he has to pile up to get the job done. And there are some very creative ways of dealing with the bad guys. The necktie/staircase being my favorite. Reacher isn't fancy, travels light and won't stay long. Here's hoping we get another story/town/season.
