A raw, coming of age indie film that is "true grit to the bone," with a bold statement that is so powerful that it touches you the core. It's straight forward approach and true to life storytelling is what makes it stand out from all the others in its genre. Nineteen Summers is one of those films that will be talked about for years to come.
A very sincere, unique and emotionally compelling story that leaves a deep impression on the heart. The film carefully touches on the complexities of friendships, marriages, cultures and life, in such a powerful way that is truly worthy of one's attention. Stories like these are of vital importance to the culture of storytelling in films, further giving light and understanding to such issues that are played out in this dramatic masterpiece. Very well done. Favorably recommended.
A fantastically tickle me funny comedy that follows a comedienne (Meg) as she adamantly rejects having to adapt to new ways of promoting herself in the industry, as she constantly struggles to make her mark in todays "façade" of hyped-up social media madness. It's definitely an amusing film to watch, no doubt about it.
