This BBC production of Brideshead Revisited is fantastic in a way that it is almost word by word from the book. But what makes it one of the best all time TV drama series is the casting. Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews are perfect as Charles and Sebastian. But not just those two. This show is filled with best and brightest of British actors. My personal favourite performance is Charles's father played by Sir John Gielgud. He is hilariously quirky in the book and even more bizarre in the show. Most of this story is a very bittersweet romantic drama with some flashbacks to pure joy of youth. I don't want to give up any spoilers, read the book, watch the show, neither will disappoint.
I fell in love with William Gibsons works in 1987, I got a book for my birthday called Neuromancer, the first book in Gibsons Sprawl trilogy, followed by Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive. Written in a dark Film Noir style of a near future. I have read the trilogy more than ten times over and it is a never-ending entertaining experience. I haven't read The Peripheral but watching this first season I got a lot of Gibson wibe. This is very good! Good casting, most actors are great in their roles, good directing, the story and events are very good visualized. I will prolly never see a Sprawl Trilogy on TV or in a movie, but this is rly good.
So far this is a 10/10 for me.

There are moments when I like this show, and there are moments when I think it's utterly beyond anything good. First of main character, Mireille Enos, I liked her very much in the show Hanna, badass, ruthless, heartless CIA operative, think she was brilliant. But here she's PI or security consult or something, writing is just very weak most of the time, not sure what she supposed to be. I just don't buy it, and if I like something I can buy a lot, but here no. Still, it's not a 1/10 I see some have rated it as such and it's far better than the worst I've seen. But I also see ppl rated it as an 10/10 and that's just nuts, if anyone tells you this is the best they ever seen, never ever trust that person. There are some characters that are amusing, specially the brother and sister from England, they rather shoot you instead of... well they just rather shoot you period, that makes you want to see next episode. But if you want to watch a smart heist, gentleman robber, conman show, watch White Collar with Matt Bomer, that's a 9/10 on my scale.
