I like cannabis and I do know its effect on people. Unfortunately, Anna Faris (actor of Jane) seems to have never have consumed cannabis before. Her acting looks as if the director told her just to be really weird, while she should make the dumbest face that she can for most of the time. Her acting is more than as if she were drunken with a small dosage of psychedelics than just being "baked" with marijuana.
The script is crap, the story is boring, and the film is completely unrealistic. The biggest mistake I see is the wrong display of the effects of a high dosage of cannabis. Even with a extremely high dosage of a dozen cupcakes, someone would not have hallucinations and be as abrasive as Jane is; she would rather be just very, very sleepy and lacking in concentration, or even feel sick.
Also, this is kind of dangerous if kids or people without drugs experience watch it. They will get an unrealistic impression of the effects of cannabis, leading to a false fear - or even disappointment when they try cannabis for themselves and don't experience a wild effect like Jane does in this movie.

"Enter the Void" is a breathtaking, awesome experience: This movie takes cinematography to a higher level. Camera, sound, visual effects: Together they create the vision of being there, being Oscar, the main character, see through his eyes and his mind, and experience his experiences - if you allow it, because it is a challenge. Gaspar Noé requires the viewer to open his own mind, flow through the pictures, accept moments of strange nothingness and be seated for over 2½ hours.
The story is about love between a brother and sister, who lost their parents at young age and now (in their 20s) are trying to find a place in life and a new home in a cold world. It is a story about how the War on Drugs ruins lifes for nothing. And it is a story about how dying may be, leaving the body, reflecting all past and entering the circle of life again.
"Enter the Void" is about drugs and night life too. It takes the viewer on a hot roller-coaster ride through ecstasy and passion. It shows the effects of drug use intensively, especially DMT, but it is not a pro-drug or anti-drug film: It shows drugs as just what they are. Mind-altering substances, that may be used with caution and expert knowledge.
If you would take the red pill, then I highly recommend to enter the void and watch this movie. And I especially recommend to watch it in a cinema or at high quality like DVD or BD on a big screen. Darken the light, increase the volume so that the hypnotic intro is slightly too loud, and don't allow interruptions. Good flight.
