Is there any singular substance that has influenced Western culture more than LSD? Sadly, the story of LSD has thus far been a tragic one, but with new research at some of the leading medical universities in the USA, perhaps this phenomenal gift will make a resurgence and become readily available once again - it is too beneficial for just the most ill. This film covers the entire history of LSD, including original footage of government and psychological experiments with the substance. If you are interested in learning more about LSD, this film would be a good place to start.
A colorful film about politics and the problems of political thinking in the age of internet culture. It is insightful and very funny. Only problem I have is that it is a bit too fast. It is almost impossible to follow all the threads, references and jokes. I'm not an English native speaker, so maybe that's part of the problem, but, very well deserved 7 stars from me.
Hope that there will German subtitles in the future....
"Silvered Water, Syria Self-Portrait" is a Syrian documentary film about the Syrian Civil War. The collaboration between exiled Syrian filmmaker Ossama Mohammed and young Kurdish activist Wiam Simav Bedirxan distills footage from "1,001 Syrians" and documents the destruction and atrocities of the civil war through a combination of eye-witness accounts shot on mobile phones and posted to the internet, and footage shot by Bedirxan during the siege of Homs. Must see.
