This movie is set in Japan in year 1969. and it shows a group of teenage boys whose main obsessions are beautiful girls and rock and roll. Under the new wave of freedom and liberty in those years, they want to organize a school festival like the ones in America and in the same time in protest to the Vietnamese war. The main characters are Yazaki and Adama, both mischievous and trouble-makers. Adama falls in love with "Lady Jane", a beautiful girl by the name of Kazuko Matsui and he wants to impress her as the leader of the group that's organizing the festival. The movie is fun, but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you've watched other Japanese movies before and if you're not into their inside jokes and sense of humor, because otherwise you won't find the movie really that fun.
It's a forbidden love story about two athletes, one from Japan, Shimonoseki (Ikuko), and other from Korea, Busan (Ahn), who meet on athletic camp in summer of 1977. They share a Romeo & Juliet moment on a balcony, make a promise that they will see each other next year at Tabanata and then continue writing letters to each other throughout the year. But many obstacles come in their way, because both of their parents and friends are reluctant about their relationship, since the historical tension between Koreans and Japanese. And also, Ahn wants to go to college, and needs to quit the track, but he tries hard anyway just to fulfill the promise to meet with Ikuko next year ...
The movie is full of fun teenage views on relationship, and growing up between four girls, one of them being Ikuko, and the other three her colleagues from the track.
It's a really fun movie to watch, and the love story, though it sounds like a cliché, is neatly done and you easily get attached to it.
This could be one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen ! I recommend everyone to watch it.

... then don't watch this movie! Otherwise you will find it extremely confusing, irritating and pointless. I won't vote for the film because I am not sure which grade should I give. I understand that I didn't like the movie largely due to the fact that I couldn't get all the pieces together, and I couldn't do that since I'm not a Bob Dylan's fan and I've never read a lot about him. I wouldn't say that this is the worst movie that I've ever watched. It has great actors in it, lots of beautiful scenery, nice songs, great shots, camera angles... But I don't like the fact that it's so narrow and it doesn't let you enjoy it if you're not into Bob Dylan. However, lately I decided to dig up on him, and I got this movie so that it would somehow introduce me to his career and break those mysteries about him, but I got something completely different.
