As someone who has struggled with a colicky baby plus two other children I can totally relate. Tiredness can make you feel like you're in a dream world, you can drift off from what's happening. You feel guilty for sleeping when your baby is awake. If you don't sleep you're a zombie. Before the baby it's all about looking after you, then it's all about the baby. Grandmothers can make you feel inadequate no matter how hard you try. While it's uncomfortable to watch at times, it is not a bad movie. Women are expected to be naturally good at mothering and from the outside looking in it's easy to others to judge. All in all a great movie which will make mothers everywhere feel understood.
No one can understand unless they have been through it. It's like mental illness or any condition, everyone feels differently. As well as feeling empathy and compassion for other people, no one is perfect and I feel absolute understanding for how he feels and even some compassion for her. This is unfiltered, unvarnished imperfect humans as we really are. I applaud and appreciate the bravery of this man. The story is compelling, well written, brilliantly acted, and directed perfectly. Watch this on your own or with a friend, you will need a box of tissues. This is exceptional and you will want to binge watch it.
Watch this if you really enjoy a well developed sci fi series. There does not need to be lots of cgi or sex to make it good. Very different to standard shows which turn into soap operas or monsters of the week.
