Criminal Minds: Collision Course (2017)
Wow
What an absolutely horrible episode. The only positive in the show at this point is Garcia. I loved Spencer but in this episode he really doesn't do much but whisper so he can't help the episode at all. The premise of the show is absolutely ridiculous for both stories. This show used to have so much going for it including writing and a fantastic cast. Derek, and Penelope flirting back and forth was always a nice spark in a very dark show. They try it with Luke but it doesn't really work. Alex Blake was a very dull character and thankfully she didn't last, I really hope it is the same with Stephen because he just might be the most boring character I have ever seen. His monotone way of speaking and lack of any facial expressions is incredibly robotic. Hopefully this show starts to improve, but I think it is done.
Ballykissangel (1996)
Watch the first two seasons only
I was pleasantly surprised at how good the first two seasons were. A light-hearted comedic and very sweet series with beautiful scenery. There are a couple of episodes in season 3 that are not horrendous but definitely not worth watching. By season 4, it feels like a completely different show. It's a melodramatic soap opera that is consistently depressing and dull. By season 4, many of the regulars have gone and many of the new additions are just atrocious, especially Orla. I'm not sure what happened to the writing by season 4 but it feels like there aren't any professional writers left by that point. I'm on season 5 and I'm really trying to complete the show but I don't think I'll make it.
Mrs Sidhu Investigates (2023)
Would have been much better without the son
I went into this with no expectations whatsoever and it was rather enjoyable. It's very much like murder She wrote or Agatha raisin, a woman with no investigative experience gets involved with solving murders. The only real drawback I see to this show is her son. I don't see what his character adds to the show, he just brings it down. He doesn't have a job, is living in his mother's house and the way he speaks to her is atrocious. Every time he appears on the show it's another cringy seen with him berating her for something or ordering her around. If there is another season, hopefully they either get rid of that character or make him more of a human being.
Bones: The Yanks in the U.K.: Parts 1 and 2 (2008)
Terrible episode
I find it funny that British people are insulted by this episode as much as I am as an American. Booth's behavior in this episode is exactly what the media portrays as a stereotypical American traveling through Europe. The scenes that show Booth demanding a gun or screaming and yelling about the cars and the roads is absolutely embarrassing. Brennan is always arguing with Booth about everything but says nothing as he throws a hissy fit? Neither character would ever behave that way, I really don't know what the writer's were trying to prove with this episode, but all it did was reinforce horrible stereotypes.
Mount Pleasant (2011)
First two seasons are the best
The first two seasons of this show are really worth watching. When I first started watching this show, I thought Lisa's parents, Barry and Sue were fantastic. Shortly into the show many of the main characters start to leave. Barry and Sue go to Spain and Sue never comes back, thankfully Barry does because he is light hearted and fun. During season 3 or 4 they get new neighbors once again and it's this horrendously annoying couple, the wife is this obnoxious flirt who almost has an affair with Dan , the husband is some kind of criminal and by season 5, many from the original cast has disappeared and it becomes a really annoying soap opera where way too much time is spent on that annoying neighbor and Lisa and Dan are constantly fighting again.
Will Trent (2023)
A pleasant surprise
When I saw the advertisement on Hulu for this, I was instantly interested because of the Chihuahua, I will watch anything with dogs. Then I saw that it was based on a Karin slaughter series and I am not a fan of her books at all so I was very concerned. I always get the feeling when reading her books that she wants them to be some factual dark thriller and they always just miss the mark. I have never read her Will Trent series however, so I can't say if they are like the rest of her books . So I tried the first two episodes to give it a try and enjoyed them, it's light hearted and each episode was a mystery that needs to be solved. Its Not a serious procedural show, just an easy mystery, very similar to some British shows like Agatha Raisin. It's only two episodes in so that's not too much to go on, but so far so good.
House of the Dragon (2022)
It's nothing
It's hard not to compare this to GoT, but this doesn't even come close. Even after watching it for 4 or 5 episodes you're wondering when one of the characters will at least catch your interest. It's not as horrendous as the final season of GoT thankfully , it is just painfully dull. There are no characters to either love or hate, they're all just forgettable. In GoT we all loved to hate joffrey and absolutely adored Tyrion. There's no character in House of Dragons that's likable at all, honestly I'm not even sure which character you're supposed to like. Matt Smith's character Daemon is supposed to be evil but , he really just becomes mildly annoying. All and all this show is just not worth the time it takes to watch it.
Supernatural (2005)
Love this show
I love this show, in fact it's one of my all-time favorites. I've watched all the seasons through at least twice, some seasons more than others. To me what makes the show the best by far is Jensen Ackles, his character It's funny and his acting is always good. The character of Dean is always good and so are the other main characters, some are a little over the top but it's a show about monsters so that's perfectly fine. The only drawback to the show is Sam, both the character and Jared padalecki's acting. Someone at some point told J Mr padalecki that breathing was the way to show all your emotions and it's extremely distracting and very annoying. So the episodes that focus around Sam are very hard to watch, in season 8 there are a lot of flashbacks surrounding him So there are a lot of episodes that you might want to skip. All in all It's still a really really solid show.
Bosch: Legacy (2022)
Not like the original
I loved the original because it was mostly Harry with a supporting cast. Most of the cast was really good, so even when Bosch wasn't in it it was still enjoyable, except for Maddie. This show has been very little Bosch and way too much Maddie. Her acting is really terrible, and her facial expressions are hard to watch. I really hope if there's future episodes they include a great deal more Bosch.
Line of Duty (2012)
Terrible
This show is absolutely laughable and if this was a satire I would have rated it higher. I cannot understand how there's any positive reviews for this. There's not one competent likeable officer in the entire department, If they are not corrupt then they're just incredibly ignorant. Because of all the positive reviews I have continued to watch it, but it only gets worse and worse.
Scott & Bailey (2011)
Good first 3 seasons
This was a pretty good show until the 4th season. Bailey, who was arrested and whose personal and professional life is an absolute disaster gets promoted? Come on, between the constant chaos in her life, the catastrophe with her brother and mother, ex-boyfriend, ex husband I could go on and on. The show was good when they acknowledged what a loser she was. Then they suddenly pretend she's on par with Janet? In one of the earlier seasons Janet said she couldn't become the sergeant because of her busy life, So she tries for it again and says the same thing? Come on! This show definitely "jumped the shark" in season 4.
Doc Martin (2004)
Frustrating
After completing all the seasons of the show I have the same opinion I did watching the first season. It's extremely frustrating, It could have been one of the greatest shows ever instead it just falls short because of the ineptitude of so many characters on the show. In the first few seasons the receptionists frustrated me the most, they were just so over the top nasty and useless It was very annoying. In later seasons morwenna was the receptionist who is actually quite competent and a pleasure to watch. Then along comes the vet played by Caroline Quentin who is usually one of my favorite actresses, but the character is just as inept at her job as the first two receptionist's are at theirs. They are young girls with no experience but she is a doctor!!! She has just as much of an education as he does and yet they make her a buffoon. Overall except for a few annoying characters I really enjoyed the show and feel it's still worth watching.
Picket Fences (1992)
Could have been a good show
I watched a few episodes of the show when it was on originally and didn't like it. I decided to watch it again thinking maybe I was just too young for it at the time. No I wasn't too young for it, this show just tries too hard to be politically correct. I feel like it could have been a great show if they left out the politics. I stopped watching most American TV shows a while ago and this show is a great reminder of why.
Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators: The Offered Fallacy (2019)
Terrible episode
Love the show, this episode however is ridiculous. This episode is just painful! Luckily all the episodes are not as absurd as this one, it would make the show impossible to watch. I can only assume that all the writers were on vacation when this episode was written.
My Life Is Murder (2019)
Very enjoyable except.....
I thoroughly enjoy watching the show. So far the characters are very good, the scenery is out of this world, Melbourne is just beautiful. The only problem I have with the show is.... Why did they name her Alexa? Seriously they couldn't have picked any other name in the world except maybe Google? Every time I watch the show it sets off my Alexa and drives me crazy!
Grimm (2011)
Should be a 10
I am watching the series for the second time. The first time through I watched it weekly so I missed some episodes but still enjoyed it. Now I'm binging it so it's much more enjoyable. Each story is very well done, the Wesen, are all unique and creative. The main characters are all very well acted (except for one) some are very likeable (Monroe and Rosalee) and some like Adalind is a joy to hate. The only drawback is the terrible acting job by Bitsie Tulloch. The minute I started to watch the series over again I remembered what I didn't like about it, and that was Juliette. In the first few seasons she plays Juliette like she is a very poorly behaved 4 year old. Not to mention the fact that she's supposed to be a veterinarian, a Doctor!! And she plays the character as if she doesn't even know how to open a bottle of aspirin. It is so hard to get past her acting just to enjoy the rest of the characters, after a while you learn to just kind of ignore her. Despite her the show was extremely enjoyable and well worth watching.
I Care a Lot (2020)
It had potential
Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. I don't even know what to say, it was just that bad. It started out very similar to a short story I enjoyed by Dean Koontz The Mercy of Snakes. This movie quickly became so farfetched it was laughable.
The Glades (2010)
Went down hill
I thoroughly enjoyed the first season, but by the third season it had already gone downhill. By season 3 It became nothing more than one long Kia commercial and watching Longworth eat at every crime scene.
Rizzoli & Isles (2010)
Love this show
This is one of my all-time favorite shows, I've watched the series through at least three times. I love that the show has so many strong women and everyone gets along beautifully. I read the books and I have to say I enjoy the show a lot more. It's not a serious show, it's much more light-hearted than the books which I enjoy. I wouldn't want to watch a show every week that was so dark, I prefer the humor in this show.
Everwood (2002)
I really wanted to love this show
Update:
okay so I ended up sticking with the show I'm in the middle of season 4 and it only gets worse and worse and worse. The character of Ephraim never gets better in fact it just gets worse, and I think it's a combination of poor acting and poor writing. there are some really likable characters in this and I just wish they hadn't focused on the wrong ones like Ephraim. I wish they would have focused more on Bright and Hannah, they are entertaining and fun. The show really goes off the rails in season 4 though, It becomes incredibly unbearably preachy and liberal. I don't know the specific reason the show got canceled because there are just so many.
I really want to love this show, but I am having a very hard time. I'm only on season 1 episode 9 but the son is so incredibly bratty and horrible that it's very hard to get passed. I don't understand why shows do this with teenagers Yes, some teenagers are hard to take but not every teenager is horrible. I'm hoping that his personality changes as the show goes along, otherwise I won't be able to watch too much more.
500 MPH Storm (2013)
Great bad sci fi movie
The bad reviews on here are absolutely ridiculous. This movie was not meant to win academy awards This is just an awesome trashy sci-fi movie. If, like me you love bad sci-fi you will certainly love this movie. It has it all, terrible acting, the worst special effects, and atrocious writing. Just watch it and enjoy it for what it is.
Waco (2018)
Very inaccurate
I am sure from all I have read about the actual events, that the ATF made a mess of this but, Koresh was a child molesting monster. The movie idiolizes this crazy cult which brutalized women as young as 11.
The Good Fight (2017)
Too political
Politics is what ruined the Will and Grace reboot. It doesn't matter what side you agree with, there is no need for the preaching this show does. It actually backfires and makes all liberals look narrow minded and ignorant.
The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)
Thoroughly enjoyed it
I went into this expecting the worst and it was actually really enjoyable.
