I was 14 years old and a major Who fan when this movie was released. I had known for a few years that it was in the works so I was very much looking forward to seeing it on opening day. I was very disappointed. It just seemed cheesy.
There were some great performances and casting (Tina Turner as the Acid Queen and Elton John as the Pinball Wizard). Ann Margaret was fine as Tommy's mom. The low point for me was Jack Nicholson-who I love in everything else-talk-singing his way through on of my favorite songs on the album, "Go to the Mirror."
Still, if you're a Who fan or even just a classic rock fan, it's kind of fun to see all those rock heroes goofing around in the film.

In this show they do not give it to the best house. For example, I just watched one where it was basically a carnival more than anything. They even described it as an "amusement park". But nothing, I mean? 0% of it was related to Christmas and yet that house won. It's not a good show. Along with the host (which kind of has to do this) is saying the same thing for every house like it's unique even when it's not. Do not waste your life. Life is short and please don't waste it on a tv show that doesn't even judge the winner by the criteria. SAVE YOURSELVES!
