Her 12 year old brother is into it too. I worry about introducing them to simple depictions Empire and Rule Britannia but this is fun entertainment amd I found it watchable as well.
I wanted a serious drama about the Manhattan project and stumbled onto this on Hulu. Skeptical, i started it late one night expecting to get 1/3 of the way through and then picking up a book instead. I was pleasantly surprised.
I was half expecting juvenile melodrama. I got none. I thought they would ignore the historical milieu and just use the desert and period as backdrop to a handful of love triangles and hackneyed intrigue. Instead they immersed the show in the time, place, and science and paid attention to the details.
The show is on the nose with some exposition but not so annoying you can't get past it.
I'm very pleased and more than a little impressed.
