Well, I think this film is pretty good viewing....lots of naked and hot women, tons of over-the-top gore, strange themes of incest and cannibalism...I think it warrants at least a rental and the upcoming Blu-Ray release has a lot of extras. The stars are all pretty well known - Ashlie Rhey from Playboy, Paul Logan from Days Of Our Lives, Scott Carson of MTV fame, Regina Russell, hottest woman in the world and directed by Mike Tristano, who has churned out some unusual but always watchable films. This one, is odd....at times you'll feel like you are watching something very artistic and then it flips you right around and you know that the main purpose here is to shock and titillate. It does give you the creeps however...you'll want to wash your hands at least once after watching this film.
Well, this movie started out funny but quickly deteriorated. I thought it would be more 'adult oriented' humor based on the first few moments but then the movie switched into a bad made-for-Disney Channel type mode, especially a go-kart racing scene that was incredibly long. Alana De La Garza is gorgeous but has a really fake Italian accent. The movie looked and sounded very independent and low budget. There was one very cute moment which I'll just call the serenading scene but overall this one was a yawner. The laughs are very few and far between. The end surprise for "Mr. Fix It" is so ridiculous it left me more mad than anything else. Might be worth a look if you can catch it for free or TV but don't waste your money buying or renting this movie.
This is not a sensational, "window smashing, bomb throwing" picture, but a real political drama, showing the suffrage cause in its true light and as the leaders wished it presented to the public. It features Emmeline Pankhurst, great militant suffragist and leader of the English Forces. Harriet Stanton Blatch, President of the Women's Union, New York City, and her co- workers for the "cause" have all taken an active part in the presentation of their work to gain political equality.
A campaign film for the "Votes of Women" movement which surveys everything which is wrong with society and which guarantees the elimination of all social evils if women are granted the right to vote.
The political boss, his control over the courts, and the necessity for a young lawyer to follow his dictates are clearly shown. You see the way that elections are won by fraud, the packing of the ballot boxes, and the registering of "repeaters."
A rather slight story background shows a young lawyer who does not see the justice of the campaign and tells of his sweetheart who works with Emmeline Pankhurst and other leaders of the cause.
An intriguing story of love, intrigue and clever detective work, in which the power of a modern political boss is challenged by the "fair suffragette," and after a hard fight, in which her lover is involved, she succeeds in defeating the political gang. This is a picture with punch that although filmed in 1913 still leaves a big impression.
