It's a fun movie and a nice homage to the Bruce Willis classic DH-2 also set in LAX on Christmas, whose spirit is all over this movie.
It's not too shabby at under 2hrs, and makes for some breezy fun Sat night viewing.
It's slick and professionally done, keeps you engaged, well-supported by some good solid professional casting - Taron Egerton, Dean Norris (Hank from Breaking Bad!!!!!), and of course Jason Bateman ..... Just don't go looking for legendary world-class cinema or a solid logical plot, or for that matter, John Mclane or Mctiernan, which it's not or does not have.
This is EXACTLY WHAT Netflix does best for it's paying customers - produce content like this by the barrel fulls, except that this one may be said to be in the upper half of that barrel.. ........😊😂
And I am sure the production team had their tongues firmly in their cheeks naming their hero Ethan and giving him various mini mission impossibles...... a merry mid-level Netflix production worth a watch.
And of course as usual, RT ratings for this movie are waaaay overrated !!!!!
A solid 3/5 would be just about fair for this.

Good masala entertainment with a "modern" twist, overall a good teenager-adult fun movie for a Netflix and chill night. Nice mix of comedy, drama with a dash of spicy mystery and thrills thrown in as well, and finally a happy as can be ending.
Akshay provides the star power as usual with his unique brand of humor bundled in hero vibes. Its always good to see Fardeen Khan, the others provide strong support, and while all three heroines hold up their end of glamor and drama equally well, Tapsee stands out as usual in her ability to do full justice to a whole smorgasbord of moods and emotions.
Mostly no boring passages in the movie and it's short enough to keep you gripped with some nice twists and turns in the story that complete the full masala packaging.
Easily worth the watch, and as the title says, it's Khel Khel Mein so don't go in looking for serious impactful cinema. Instead just go in ready for some nice fizzy pop-soda entertainment and you will get your money's worth.
A two thumbs up recommendation especially for fans of the Great Kumar!!!!!

Mind blowing !!! .....all of the accolades are accurate ..... joyful, heartwarming, heartbreaking.......and unforgettable.
This is the kind of movie that will send your mind into a tizzy in a thousand different directions while you are still processing what you just saw. And it's going to stay with you and haunt you for a long time.
Very briefly and without giving anything away it shows the seedy squalid side, the other side of the coin, behind Disneyworld both literally and figuratively, and how in the middle of this squalor and poverty, a 6-year old and her troop of friends manage to create moments of magic as they discover their own "enchanted land" even as the grownups around them struggle and fail to keep it together.
The acting talent is OFF the charts - if you thought child Dakota Fanning was talented, Brooklyn Prince as 6yr old Moonee and chief instigator of her troops, makes her look like a beginner and grips the viewer in a performance that is spirited, searing and one for the ages. The other actors especially the always reliable Willem Dafoe, are equally awesome .... so much so you would be forgiven for thinking you were watching a live documentary!!!!! .....kudos to the director and entire cast and crew 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Great to see a movie that not only takes a page from Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali, that a of a child's magical world view in the midst of oppressive poverty, but does it one better .......Ray would have loved this!!!!!!
Run don't walk to see this scintillating haunting gem of a movie, it deserves even more love, accolades and acclaim than it has garnered so far .....
Ps - and don't worry, while it has heartbreaking moments, no characters die at the end of the movie.....😊
