This should have been titled, "Betty Jones wears the same Red Outfit"
Betty never changes clothes? She gets off a cruise ship wearing a red outfit. She wears that same red outfit all through the show. Get serious... a former Miss America doesn't shower, freshen up, or change clothes over the course of several days? Was Quinn Martin's wardrobe department short of funds or something? Couldn't they afford to buy Lee Meriweather another outfit?
And then we have "The Friends of Betty and J. R." category. Other commenters have aptly stated that at this point in the series, "Barnaby Jones" has become the J. R. and Betty Show. Barnaby has a cameo now and then, but the whole series has devolved into stories about the friends of Betty and J. R. who can only be rescued by Betty or J. R.
No, just no. This story has no plot, it goes nowhere.
Adding to the poor writing and poor production is the under-use of actress Camilla Sparv. This smoking hot "Bond Girl" should have been featured more prominently. What a waste.
Total dud.
