The niece of a professor in the ancient language is sent an ancient amulet with magical powers that gives the owner special powers with a finger pointer.
It is all well thought out but then the professor makes very strange decisions once he becomes aware of the possible consequences of his discovery.
The writers of this story seem to have chosen the side of Disney's the absent minded professor but then less convincingly executed
oh well it is all pretty lame, but with some funny moments, also irritating that the professor can very easily prove that he is not crazy but shows it every time when no one is looking, purely to push the plot in a certain direction.

Nice film with the theme of deflowering at a summer camp, a bet between 2 girls that got out of hand and was fueled by the pretty girl with a nasty self-absorbed character.
One is a teenager with a rich father, the other of lower descent but with a kind of tough bravado.
Money is bet on who of the 2 will lose her virginity first, and of course that doesn't go so well.
The theme is dealt with quite maturely and apart from some comic scenes the film is mature and quite serious.
Unfortunately the film has to be marred by the opening scene of a boy being kicked in the crotch, a scene that makes no sense and is also unnecessary, drenched in man-hatred and unfortunately a stain on the film.

The Banker is a real B-movie. According to lead actor Robert Forster, this film was one of director Quentin Tarantino's favorites, when he was still working at a video store. It would be this film that landed Forster a role in Tarantino's film Jackie Brown.
Foster plays the bad ass cop who is hot on the heels of a serial killer who likes bizarre South American rituals.
But it never rises above average, and Spaulding's motives remain shrouded in mystery.
It is also clear that the budget was too low to give the film a more professional look, but the premise wasn't that bad.
This film had some potential but the end result is a bit of a failure.
