I'm a big fan of Burt Reynolds. I watch his movies all of the time. For some reason, I never got around to watching "Shamus" until tonight. I always thought it was a straight detective movie but it's not. There are a lot of laughs in "Shamus". Burt Reynolds delivers a good performance. Burt also does a lot of impressive stunts. "Shamus" is definitely Burt's most physical movie. He's constantly runs around around or jumping through something. It's fun to watch. "Shamus" also has a pretty good supporting cast with the always likeable Dyan Cannon coming in as Best in Breed. Cannon has charm to spare. "Shamus" isn't one of Burt's best but it does go on the plus side of the ledger.

"The Package" is a tight, exciting thriller. The story is well told and the action scenes are exciting. This movie looks great with really good location photography. The cast is very likeable. They all do a solid job. I liked this movie when I saw it in the theater (Movie World, Douglaston, NY). I saw it quite a few times after on video/cable. Last night was the first time I watched "The Package" in quite a while. It hit the spot. (IMDB has a six hundred character minimum so I have to ramble on for a couple of minutes. So, how was your day? Mine was fine, thanks...It's raining out...and windy.)
