This movie really had me interested and I was enjoying it, but the ending left me shaking my head and saying "You gotta be kidding me!" I'm afraid I needed something more concrete than what I was handed with the ending. It was well done and kept you guessing till the end...then kept you guessing after that. Very anti-climactic for me. Maybe that was their point in the long run. If it was...kudos, you really nailed it. Reminiscent of The Stepford Wives in my opinion, with a pinch of Wally and the Beaver thrown in for flavor. Someone please feel free to describe their opinion of the ending. Other than that, I enjoyed it.
Brendan Frazier pulled off something that a movie hasn't been able to get out of me in a very long time. He made me cry. His performance was so incredible, so involved, so believable that, well, I couldn't believe it. Acting wise, this movie, thanks to Brendan Frazier, is officially at the very top of my "Wow! What an incredible movie!" list. It needs to be watched without interruption and with much attention as possible paid to it. I'm so incredibly happy for him and his Oscar win, which, in my opinion, was so very much deserved. It's a remarkable notch in Brendan's acting gun. There is no one else who could have done this part and made it this good. This movie slapped me in the face so hard that I didn't take a breath until it ended. I guess you could say I liked the movie. Duh.
My palm is still on my forehead and the word 'disbelief' doesn't even begin to scratch the surface. This guy answers the question "Just how repulsive can a person get?" Long review short...watch this movie You won't believe this type of animal actually existed.
