Especially not the writers. Disney landed on the wrong side of the fence, as expected, during the last strike and failed to reward quality. It follows that they can't offer quality even if the main actors of the previous success are part of the project.
It looks amateurish, as if nobody from top to bottom knows what they're supposed to do. No direction whatsoever. No clear storyline or clear characters, because it's a reboot ! Meaning they didn't know which way to go.
Unless you're a fan of all things "daredevil", it's VERY disappointing. It's sluggish, morally way more awkward than it should be. Disney "magically" made a grey world where the main characters are irrelevant, just as this whole season which could fit in 3 episodes. On the reassuring side, Matthew still has terrible tastes in women.
Originally, there was supposed to be ONE long season. Buy a project, rip it to shreds, milk it for all it's worth. Creators/writers Vs. Studios.

THe whodunnit is also brillantly solved but in a manner that reminds us of a literary exercise which gives a voice to many unreliable points of view. Multiple colourful narrations are embedded into what should be a serious impartial hearing for a hot minute.
Everybody is on the same page, it's not just top-notch acting. Each camera knows exactly what to catch of every interaction so that it can be edited/ pieced together later to form a mosaic of reactions to the same question. By no means is it like "filmed theatre", it has the same dynamic pace but goes way beyond the usual social satire, although there is a lot of that.
Those who struggled with the comedy haven't been paying attention to teasers. Netflix is often off-target, there was no mistaking this IMO.

That familial sitcom is watchable and just about or better than what you expect for a prequel around the insufferable Sheldon character from Big Bang Theory.
It"s about one randomly average/ slightly under-average texan family with an oddball smart kid overly covered by a hen mother. You know what they say about parents with genius kids : they've got a lot of imagination!
We don't get to know if Sheldon is on the spectrum of autism or the fruit of his almost normal environment and helicopter/ Zealot mother for him and him only. He's regularly the center of tensions and attentions.
Malcolm in the middle was a worldwide hit ! This is not that by a long shot. And it's not "Raising Hope" either as it grows.
Similar tropes here, zero humour. And nothing changes the mother (root of all evil, that one) or the prodigal pest.
Aren't we lucky that Sheldon found more interest in physics than nutjob educated by sunday church do ? He's still a coward and a liar/ pure hypocrit. That comes from his mother.
