Umimachi Diary / Our Little Sister, (2015)
Story based in Japan but storytellers all around the world could place same story on many points around our Blue Planet.
I watched this movie many times and when I see it on cable TV I stop every time.
Why ? I don't how much movie budget was but result is great.
I watched Akiro Kurosawas movies in my early childhood but this common everyday battle of acceptance painted by Hirokazu Koreeda, Akimi Yoshida, Haruka Ayase, Masami Nagasawa, Kaho, Suzu Hirose, Ryo Kase, ... brought movie masterpiece on the "daylight".
Every time I watch movie I see something I missed last time I watched movie.
Clever and intelligent people(man or woman) have only one healthy option : "to accept" others. If they are not clever, intelligent and don't accept, lose is coming in future when you least expect !
Long story short. This girls have same father but different mother, they are living in same country but different city and when father is out of story railiway connects them and "their warm hearts". And story goes.
It is difficult to make second and third part of this movie because story is "told" so good.
But it looks in the movie like this "bunch of people" are becoming "very close family".

I watched this movie long ago but I remember very well Joan Fontaine.
She was really excellent actress playing "white" role in all of her movies I watched (black&white movies).
In this movie she is trying with love to soften character of the man who is under his face trying to hide dramatical relationship with his past. Simply she is trying to heal his heart.
She is fighting with ghosts of the past all over the place.
Good heart and love are only weapons she is using to save him.
It's easy to be a bad person. She was acting a good person and that is a pretty difficult task.
I will always remember gentle look and her eyes full of love.

I watched this movie after long time on TV today. It is a slow movie. It is a movie to think. Some questions asked are same in every country ,some unique for former Yugoslavia and people living there. When you have people around you always have many questions. Love and where to go. Sometimes we go to soon , sometimes somebody comes too late... I don't know why.
Some questions are answered, some not but it is a movie too watch with one reason: Too give an answer to all questions asked and to listen given answers. It is a movie about LOVE in former Yugoslavia but LOVE between american woman and man from Serbia. It's a complicated love story but that makes every LOVE greater when complications are solved.
Travel and love because every travel or love are only part of our journey and best teachers we are going to meet in our lives.
