Evil: The Demon of Death (2022)
Season 3, Episode 1

Mind boggling
8 December 2024
As with all the episodes, a majority of the investigations seems to have a frank solid explanation from Ben!

But then there seems to be a point where reality mixes with fantasy!

From season two into three I think Kristen could be in a way subjected to a demon infestation around her or within her! When there are exorcisms being performed where Kristen is a witness it affects her in a way that there may be an entity within her being pulled out!

But anyway some things can not be explained!

In this episode it feels like Father(Wallace Shawn) would blurt out saying " it's. Inconceivable!"

Lalands character feels like at some point is over staying his welcome!

What isn't there to love about this movie!

I found it hilarious and well worth the watch also for all the cameos!!!

The Ryan and Hugh, hatefulness spills into this movie! If you ever see the videos over the years where both Ryan and Hugh practically have a go and make fun of each other pales into comparison in this movie, they let rip! They make Abbot & Costello, laurel & Hardy look like virgins In comparison!

Good to see Gambit, Blade and Elecktra make appearances and they survive, well I hope so!

Love Wesley Snipes line, "there's only one Blade, only ever gonna be one Blade".. is this signaling a change in the choice of the new Blade actor?

This movie also has one of those Marvel endings after the credit so watch it all the way through!

Warning: Spoilers
From my last review, I was actually almost correct! Reading between the lines of the story and looked at all the angles of characters who were there only a very short time! This was a good fast paced episode.

Shamefully again another member of our heroic bunch of rejects gets bumped off! Let's have one where they don't die for once! Or so we think! Sid, gets shot in the head in the first season, she just disappeared from the hospital! Second season Harper is killed on his bike! That we see his body! Fourth Markus is shot off screen! We don't see his body, but Jackson tells Taverner. To increase his service payment, saying he hadn't yet signed off his death yet, thinking is that to pay the debts? So what is it about James Callas character, he seems to be always typecast as the guy you can always blame! I don't think we've seen the last of Hugo Weavings. Character...

Warning: Spoilers
Espionage at its best!

Ok... such a fast moving episode!

River back in U. K. his grandad spills the beans to Jackson and Standish!

The rest of the crew are loping around!

Now spoilers if you can call it a spoiler!

How many daughters did David Cartwright have?

I know it sounds interesting it's what David said!

He had a daughter that was taken by Harkness to France! Sooo...

I rather not speculate any further!

May be River blew away his half brothers face and didn't know it? Just a thought!

Because David said he did look like him a little!

But it was the son of the lady that let him go in the France!

Could she be the other daughter of David who Frank took away?

Destiny all over again!
10 July 2024
This episode, was its biggest mistake!

It's just a repeat of Destiny but said 'through a certain point of view.' This episode could have been covered in in episode 3 and I see it as a waste of time and money!

Not seeing it in a perspective as a Star Was fan , the story felt like a weak filler episode. Much of it could have been covered in the 3rd episode but still for measure, should have parts edited out for future plots in other Star Wars stories!

I just don't see the point! Only that it's tell of what happened through Sol's eyes! Which they did not need to do.

Anyone reading this post can see what I am writing I am just repeating myself, this is the same thing Acolyte has done... I actually fast forward this episode something I never do watching any 'new' series but here it just repeats..... Not a good episode!

If there was a good editor this could have been incorporated into episode 3 and left more room to manoeuvre!

Still hood

I stiil enjoyed this movie when it was obvious that the aliens can be easily taken out long ago!

But bring a movie they like to create a good story based on our own stupidity and follow it through to the end!

Sound is the key to the whole story, if the aliens are blind and only use sound to get around it would be their downfall from the start!

You can create a distraction get the aliens into one place and blow them up!

Well with that being too easy the film would have ended before it started!

You see if nature has its way and creates many sounds the creatures would be bumping into things like trees and the sea etc!

Many things make no sense!

If the government isn't as stupid as the military 1. Get a few loud speakers use them as bait the aliens would gather then blast music through them and kill, kill, kill those aliens...far too easy!

But it's still fun to see punny humans who are cleaver show stupidity.

Goood....goood.....everything is as predicted?
26 June 2024
Goood....goood.....everything is as predicted?

It may be a slow start to many and many Star Wars fans never gave it a chance, but this is a very good episode!

Firstly I'm going to criticise those fans who don't give the series a chance, expecting it to be how they want it to be!

Secondly it's its own Star Wars universe new characters new stories at a time 100 years before we know this universe as the Skywalker sagas!

That it is not, but it does create 'new foundations'.

Remember there are lots of novels out there making new ideas, but it is not George Lucas's ideas...hence Legends or what ever it's called!

Those will never see the light of day and will just remain a writers fantasy!

But anyway Acolytes is in a similar path to any other starwars story, only that we all get to experience it as it becomes part of the official universe, we see it experience it, ponder on its idea, question its motives, but it's there!

What do the fans want?... they can not always get!

And that is a good thing!

It's some thing bold and new!
12 June 2024
What I find disappointing is not the series, but people are not giving it a chance!

Ever one are expecting too high a price of it, trying to connect it to the world of Star War know from 1977 to present!

I'm saying it's better than the sequels because, they changed everything we know about starwars lore then! But this will create a foundation for what we will know it's 100 years before anything we know and a clean slate, things may be 'retconned' I don't know! But what I do know the story is leading to something big!

We could see things like an early Mandalor or Tatooine etc! I'm sure we will see old characters as we have never thought of them to be and/or things will change them to what we know now!

Could we see a Yoda...etc. Or we could see people thinking that they would not be born in this time?

Remember this is Science fantasy and anything is possible age means nothing here!

So let's give this a chance instead of dissing it in the very first episode!

If it's not your Star Wars don't watch it! Stay stuck in the passed!

It's time to move on.

Barriss and Lyn
10 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The Inquisitor Fourth Sister played by Rya Kihlstedt first became a live action character in ObiWan Kenobi episode 2. Then later an Animated character voiced by the same actress in Star Wars:Tales of the Empire episode 4, 5 and 6.

We learn from Bariss Offee that her Fourth Sister real name is Lyn Rakish.

But the question remains in ObiWan Kenobi her character then, is this before or after she supposedly stabbed Barriss Offee..?

If is after it means she is has not redeemed herself! But then this could be during the same time she is looking for Barriss!

As with all things Lyn Rakish story is not yet finished, would also be great to see a live action of Barriss Offee!

This is the way! Or how I wanted it to be!
5 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be anything like the Skywalker, Mando or sequel universe!

It's a totally different take on the Star Wars Universe just like Andor which is adult slower and little boring oriented!

This is how George Lucas wanted it to be, pure fantasy and fun for all... so remember all...this is pre-bacta tank era, so if somebody dies they die!

Sooo Carrie Anne-Moss character was so short lived... let's look at it this way shall we, since it's not like earth and human related lifespans can be long or short... don't think in the starwars universe a human ages like us. They don't it's all fantasy!

People started talking about Bo-Katans age in various posts, that is insignificant!

Now since this is set 100 years in the past since the Skywalker era we haven't seen any characters yet appear in the prequels or sequels! I'm guessing they either are all killed off or in hiding. The latter needs more context as the series is still on going!

The sets look good, and the characters look exciting good story line.

Question when Mae gives the poison to the Jedi, he new it would kind of kill him he was given a choice but he chose to die, why? What for, he has no guilt to do so!

So looking at it in the past 100 years technology has remain stagnant!

Will we see Yoda and some others?

I think this is how George Lucas envisioned some of this idea!

But anyway things are too early, great effects I'll keep watching!

Questionable.....but entertaining?
13 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This 6 part series very similar to the format of 'tales of the Jedi' looks at the other side of the coin, the empire, or simply the character pawns of the empire!

The first three episodes concerning Morgan Elsbeth, was rather weak, and lacked direction of the character! Her push forward in why she did what she does does not make sense!

Her people annihilated by Grevious who had connections to Sidious and the empire, yet the empire does not want to know her yet she follows Thrawn who is loyal to the empire!

The ending of hearing Bo-Katan on the communicator makes no sense at all why?

I'm seeing that this takes place just before Ahsoka arrives there, knowing that Bo-Katan said she would be there, unless Bo sent her there?

Ahsoka said in Mandalorian season 2 that Morgan knew of Thrawns where abouts? But how can this tie with Bo-Katan makes no sense?

The next three episodes surrounding Bariss Offee, is far superior, a more rounded story of the friend of Ahsoka Tano who betrayed her.. but she was right to a certain point of view! But she did things the wrong way to get her message!

She saw the harshness of the Empire, and made her choice to choose her own path than join the empire as a form of pardoning.. this shows like Ahsoka she is strong willed and knows the path of truth, like Ahsoka she would make the perfect Jedi that can not be corrupted! She may be flawed but she saw how wrong the Jedi were, which also led to Ahsoka leaving them too. I think Ahsoka and Bariss would forgive each other and would make a great duo... but we don't know if she survived Lyn stabbing her with a Saber?

Did Lyn use her force energy to bring her back?

But we do see Lyn in the live action ObiWan series!

Let's hope Bariss lives to see another day!

Finale...?
2 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Watching the whole three seasons of Bad Batch has been a great treat over the years, watch all characters grow and develop in their own way specially clone force 99 and Omega!

The original 5 then 4 being unique in their own way feel like Borg 'dones' in Star Trek who have broken away from the collective and established individuality. But away from that thus has been a great episode, but not on the level of 'clones wars' which has recieved a 9.9 rating in its grand finale

As clones have they stopped aging? I noticed as Omega grows to adulthood Hunter looks old but not that old and Omega seems to grow normally. Is she an unaltered clone?

Also what was not fully established was, is she force sensitivity or just a carrier of the 'm' count as a vessel but has no power to control it?

Willl she again seek out Assaj Ventress to continue to train her and try to establish'what' she is?

Also in The starwars universe who or what does Omges actually become , will she meet her childhood friend Hera Syndulla who's now integral to the rebellion!

Will there be an Omega spin off as she has a lot of potential in two forms? What was so special about her that we don't know will the power of the force manifest in her what will her role be in the rebellion!

Omega is an enigma?

As for the rest of the clones they is their life of battle over? Looks like they've gone native!

Fun
4 March 2024
When I think of Ghostbusters I think of whacky fun, great one line jokes. Daft effects....fast action and terrifyingly funny which was what made it a hit!

It was a movie that was not afraid to make fun of its self.

This movie was slow start, bland atmosphere, very subdued lighting making the movie feel depressing, which is what it felt like all the way through!

There were no jokes, no poking fun, no slapstick no energy to keep you watching. It was a very serious movie and one that could not be called a comedy by any means!

The reboot movie before this with a gender role reversal. Starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones was 6 times more funny even though it flopped. It was like a SNL reunion with the original Busters making appearances!

This movie carries on from the original Ghostbusters but feels like an entirely different genre!

It's like those 1980s kids movies where they find something strange and people don't believe them until they accidentally unleash something!

All I can say it's a good drama thriller for kids but don't get excited that it does not follow the design of the old movie franchise!

Even the old original cast well three of them make an appearance and they do not look happy or make any jokes.. it's as if they're just there for the pay cheque and they never smile.

It shouldn't be labled Ghostbusters with the logo we know... it's not that type of film!

Epic! Fantastic episode!!!
29 December 2023
Yes!

Oh my god!........ This is one action packet episode..., Never seen a U. K. series as good and fast paced as this!

Gary Oldmans Jackson Lamb, shines through using his crazy comedic sarcastic one liners!

Ladin Kirwans 'Marcus Longbridge' and Aimee F-Edward's 'Shirley Dander, work really well as a duo with their banter at one and other, it gets better when they have to fight together to stay alive!

Their characters in this season has been more at the front!

Jack Lowdens 'River Cartwright' and Rosalind Eleazar's Louisa Guy characters again works the magic of the series, switching all characters and partners around does wonders and creates different tensions!

Just like Rodney Ho's and Jackson Lamb with Catherine Standish, these tensions are very clever and never exhaust the run of the series!

Nice episode
4 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In the grand scheme of things Thrawn's plan worked, but too many uncertainties!

Thrawn could have left much earlier if he had time on his side!

This episode did drag on a bit, but the action was good, I think everyone that knows this series up to now, knows it can't be resolved in 45 minutes!

Shin... underused thought she would do something, she didn't go back to Thrawn, just ended up with the raiders! Baylan... god knows what's on his mind!

Ezra we know he made it back now it's Hera's turn to take major point in bringing them back.

The point here now is not being stranded this sets up new presidents as a bridge for new connections!

They can take space whales back or it's up to Hera To bring them back, steal the hyper ring spaceship!

Or the republic already has something similar!

Anyway it all sets up for a season 2, that is what is planned in stone by the writers, but up to the studio to act on it!

Ahsoka: Part Four: Fallen Jedi (2023)
Season 1, Episode 4
10/10
More of this!
6 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
To everyone that thought Ahsoka fallen short of the series so far, they are mistaken!!!

This is one fantastic episode. By Dave Filoni....

It was well executed and well directed. So many speculations about Marrok. But we will never know what goes on in the head of Dave Filoni!.

As things go the story really does keep you on the edge of your seat!

Ahsoka and Sabine together in a fight against the coming darkness, good to see Sabine in her full armour and using it! And yes Sabine is 'not force sensitive'. The minute She put up her hand in the face of adversity, she tricked Shin with her wrist rockets!

I noticed a very Feudal Japanese influence in the fight scenes...very noticeable especially when Ahsoka fights Marrok!

To be honest to keep the continuity from the animation to use 'Lauren Mary Kim' would have served better because she was the live motion capture Stunt actress in the scenes against Maul, in the last three episodes of Clone Wars!

Hera was slightly under used in this episode but can't be helped as it was not pivotal to the episode, good to see Carson Teva back in the battle!

The fight scene with Ahsoka and Baylon was brutal and fantastic the fight choreography here was totally different to that of the fight against Marrok, it was more fluid more Chinese! But come to think of it Marrok was nothing!

I was disheartened to hear what Baylon said to Sabine about her family, seriously this can not be true????

They perished in the purge of Mandalor or blood of 1000 tears? When Baylon searched her feelings probably he's reading what she thinks has happened but not what actually happened? If that connects with Bo-Katan in the Mandalorian there could be good reason why Koska Reeves is with Bo and not Countess Ursa Wren?

Anyway I hope Ray Stevenson filmed all his scenes for season 1? He was a great actor!

Ahsoka: Part Three: Time to Fly (2023)
Season 1, Episode 3
10/10
Fantastic episode!
2 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A very interesting mixed bag of a episode!

The training of Sabine Wren as a padwan, I don't think she will be a Jedi, I think she has no force power!

As Kenobi, Yoda and Ahsoka said a energy field created by all living things, force surrounds us and binds the Galaxy together! I think those that are force sensitive can manipulate the force to their will, but those that are not can use that energy field in another way!

But I think Sabine is 'not' force sensitive, if she was it does not help the narrative of the story, I think she will try to follow the teachings of a Jedi, just like.

Chirrut Imwe in Rogue one, the blind freedom fighter with Andor! He may not be force sensitive but uses that energy with a bit of training to help his other senses!

The space battle was like watching a movie, Ahsoka pulls all the punches here and cuts a wing off a enemy fighter in space a bit like Rey in the sequels!

Wonderful direction from Steph Green again!

When At the end Baylon tells his men to hunt down, Ahsoka and Sabine, he knows full well that he's sending his mercenary men to a guaranteed death!

Knowing full well that Ahsoka will cut them down with ease! What is his plan?

Ahsoka Tano....!!!
27 August 2023
Dave & John knows how to please us!

Such a brilliant start to a series!

The sets are amazing as is the details!

This series is fantastic on its research of design from the old movies!

On "Home 1." The round conference room where Hera and Ahsoka discus the Key and the holographic projection is a perfect replica of the one where all the Rebels planned their attack on the Second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.

The story is not complicated and it keeps within the confines of the series, so it's easy to comprehend!

I notice a more oriental feel to the series! Even to see Ahsoka wearing Ninjutsu Tabi's on her feet...

The feel of the series is like watching a movie!

So now we have Sabine Wren in the series will we see her mum Countess Ursa or even Bo-Katan?

In the animation Countess Ursa was Like Bo-Katans second in command of the NiteOwls!

Also it was Sabine that gave Bo-Katan the DarkSaber!

The Mandalorian: Chapter 24: The Return (2023)
Season 3, Episode 8
10/10
Absolutely Fantastic
19 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I can't say much more than! A great episode!

So speechless and awe at how this part of the story ended on a very, very high note!

Great story, great action and sadness!

The Mandalorians or Mandalorian together are unstoppable! They are a warrior people and trained from birth to be like Greek Spartans! They totally annihilated the imperials! You can just see from the battles the Mandalorians have the edge!

Moff Gideon is one bad ass villain one of the best up there in the Star Wars universe! Giancarilo Esposito is a brilliant actor I can't say more!

Katee Sackhoff and Pedro Pascal.. are excellent with a story like this it keeps you on the edge of your seat!

R5 is up there with R2D2 and Chopper such a great droid!

The Mandalorian sky battle was excellent Bo-Katan with Dark Saber in hand!

The imperial storm troopers in the beskar armour didn't stand a chance against the Mandalorians!

Even though they were out numbered their skill and determination was a driving factor to their success of kicking out The imperial's!

10000% a great episode!

The Mandalorian: Chapter 23: The Spies (2023)
Season 3, Episode 7
10/10
My second review on watching it again!
12 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
No doubt, this is one of the the better episodes of the whole series so far! There are a couple better but this is definitely up there with my top three choices!

Big reveals, new characters, but the plot is really showing it's true colours, one of the best and 'thé' most important as opposed to the future Mandalorians in the Star Wars Universe!

Unite the clans of all Mandalorians, try and rebuild the lives, rebuild a whole civilisation!

Spoilers- Alert.....!!!!

Love the scene that reminds me of the'i'm Sparticas' where they stand with Bo-Katan on her quest!

Biggest Mandalorian get together is live action Star Wars history!

So Bo-Katan did Surrender to Moff Gideon to save her people! But Gideon betrayed her and continued the massacre of her people!

Fight a enemy from within the planet!

This part I now understand! The belief that Mandalor was uninhabitable spread the rumours people will stay away! Thus allow the remains of the empire to create a secret base within the ruins!

Soooo.. it was Moff Gideons hide out all a long...?

Such a great episode I'm loving it!

Also of note it's like a ancient Greek heroes story with armour and all on a ship sailing the glass lands!

But like Jason and the argonauts with a Mandalorian touch! As the hordes of Mandalorians make their way off the exploding sail barge and into the caves, they look just like Greek Hoplite soldiers!

Grogu is like the Witch Medea of the Crew of heroes!

Couldn't count how many mando's there were but it was a lot of them, when they fled the exploding sail barge!

When you see the imperial commandos in jet packs as they begin their attack on the mando's at the great forge, you can see they are truly not in control of their jet packs as they fight! Unlike the Mandalorians who are far superior in flight and combat!

When Bo-Katan battles Moff-Gideon for the Dark Saber, Bo-Katan is clearly more combat efficient as you can see she landed three decapitating blows to Gideon's neck, if it wasn't for his beskar armour he would be dead already!

The Mandalorian: Chapter 22: Guns for Hire (2023)
Season 3, Episode 6
10/10
Such a varied exciting episode!
5 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
As a filler it's was still enjoyable as ever!

Oh my god.... Jack Black in Star Wars!!!!!!!

Christopher Lloyd as the cameo and not what people thought he would be!

I thought this episode was about Din Djarin, as I thought Bo-Katan was going in search of other Mandalorians to bring them all together, I was wrong, it seems that Din Djarin is her travelling companion!

The part of the story was a bit weak but enjoyable watch, some light entertainment to add some juice to the story!

On arriving to Plazir-15, the view of the domes is where everybody thought was a Mandalor flash back but it wasn't. It was just a new independent world we haven't seen, but yes it is reminiscent of the dome city of Mandalor's. Sundari! I think gives us some idea what it could have looked like in real life!

This episode was more of a detective style episode!

The last part was brilliant with a interesting twist no one ever saw coming and it is very logical outcome!

Spoilers ahead!!!!!!! Spoilers ahead!!!!!!

Warning!!!!!!!!!! SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

When Din and Bo finally get to meet up with a really large group of Mandalorians, note these are Bo-Katans... followers who deserted her!

She evoked the code to single combat, this term was last used when Sabine Wren challenged. Fenn Rau!

Fantastic fight with Axe Wolves for leadership!

SPOILERS THAT EVERYONE DIDNT SEE COMING AND ITS BIG! And correct on a technicality!!!!

Going back to "Mines of Mandalor". Din Djarin fought a spider like General Grievous like creature and lost ending up losing his Dark Saber on the floor being caged and being drained of his fluids!

Enter Bo-Katan, she defeated the Creature killing it in combat and Saving Din Djarin!

Technicality: the creature defeated Din Djarin so it is the owner of the Sabre!

Bo-Katan Enters and fights the creature killing it so now she is the owner officially now of the Dark Sabre!

Din Djarin Put this point forward and it was plausible to all Mandalorians who stood in witness to his words!

Now Bo Katan is officially the owner of the Dark Sabre though combat!

I bet people did not see that coming!

Yes, yes!!!!!
29 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was a great episode!

It's very much has that western vibe again, a bit like the Magnificent 7, with Mandalorians!

Those in the know can feel the rise of what was the empire, but it never going to be the same empire!

When the Mandalorians speak to their audiences they hold the hammer this reminds me of something, I can't put my finger on it but I'm sure I've seen this form of conversing before?

Grogu had limited screen time in this one, that I felt was ok as it was something he could not get involved in!

Just loved the way both the Mandalorian Starship and The N1 Naboo star fighter came out of hyperspace just right at the planets outer atmosphere!

The episode again ended with Bo-Katan!

The Intern (I) (2015)
10/10
Feel good movie!
26 March 2023
I wasn't too sure about watching this movie, but I'm glad I watched it... Rob De Niro, plays a elderly intern character that everybody loves to have around, no sinister motives or anything like that, just a very feel good guy you want to have around! It's a total opposite to Devil Wears Prada format... intern takes Anne Hathaway as the boss of a company she creates and it's ruining her private life as she's driven and committed, but she's not like Meryl Streep's character she starred in!

There are some hilarious moments! I'm not used to seeing DeNiro doing a film like this but he does it well!

It's a 1,000 time's opposite to all his hard man films!

Just noticed A.... A...Ron, actor Zack Pearlman, had to rack my brains where I remember him from.. Key&Peele. 'Substitute teacher!

The Mandalorian: Chapter 20: The Foundling (2023)
Season 3, Episode 4
10/10
Fantastic episode
22 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
'The foundling' is a episode of two things, honour and control!

The honour on two fronts, first Grogu gets his mudhorn sigil baby breast plate signifying his first piece armour of becoming a Mandalorian foundling!

Secondly Bo-Katan gets the honour to lead a mission to save a foundling snatched by a raptor indigenous to the planet. Also this can be the first signs of her control by gaining the "children of the watches" trust!

This episode is very important as it tells us who saves Grogu from the Jedi temple, and it turns out to be Jar Jar Binks! Only joking, well kind of, the actor who played Jar Jar Binks, Ahmed Best plays the Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Who escapes with Grogu!

We find this out in a PTSD scene when Grogu remembers his past as he watches the Armourer bashing away at a piece of Beskar, creating sparks!

But how did the empire get hold of Grogu later?

As the Mandalorian mission lead by Bo-Katan in search of the young foundling, reaches the cliff top where they plan their attack and grab the kid!

Great effects but different to tell who was who in the aerial battle as the action was very fast paced and the characters were small to visually see!

But still they came out victorious and saved the kid!

Interesting point.on return they took three baby raptors from the nest on the cliff as foundlings so they can tame them, learn to ride them may be a foreshadowing riding the Mythosaur?

One question is maybe Bo-Katan knows who the Armourer is, because of all the people not even Din Djarin, she tells her privately that she has seen the Mythosaur! Why her? But the Armourer does not believe here!

Great episode directed by Karl Weathers, done a good job again!

Summary: Fast paced action, fantastic!!
