I mostly liked the first movie, I thought less of the second, and found this one to be just somewhere less than average. It just seemed to be any excuse for some sophomoric juvenile bad joke.
The fact that it's so highly thought of, I guess says more about just how bad things have become. Than the quality of this movie.
The CGI was excellent and the cinematography was equally terrific. That's where the divide begins. The script was just sad. It was like a 70's Redd Foxx potty mouth show with little humor. In an effort to get another and another tasteless line in, the story meanders trying to please the screen writers.
The "product placement" with Stan Lee as the Stanley Steamer spokesman was hilarious (say that ten times fast).
All and all, it's a see once and done for me.

What am I grateful for... poor kids families are just as dysfunctional as rich ones. Grandma your Wi-Fi sucks dick! That's right up there with "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum." Why do they eat the heads first (cookies) first? Like why do people eat the ears of bunnies first? Sorry, I digress.
John Leguizamo steels the show for me. That dude can act! I loved the Santa Clause backstory, interesting how someone evil is punished by being good. Well it's a pretty good show, very creative. Even so, it was a bit predictable, but still worth a look.
The One thing is for sure Santa can take a shot and dish one out one out to, so don't be naughty!
Being on the nice list is a choice!

A character study of so dissimilar people, with one common link. They're all desperate. I'm not sure how accurate an account of the life this really is, but I'd hazard that it's not that far off. I used to be a drunken sailor many years ago. I'm ashamed to say that I did what drunken sailors did and attended a few of the "clubs." The unfortunate thing is these girls make a heck of a lot of money when they are the least prepared to handle it. So many use what they make to continue to destroy themselves. As long as there are drunken sailors (enablers) they always will.
I think the best work was done by Robert Wisdom, the club manager. I'm sure it's like herding cats! He's portrayal appeared to me the most powerful.
It's not a great movie, it's actually less than a good movie. I think we all hope they find what they're looking for before they destroy themselves.
Our expectations often far exceed reality.
