Most people know the story of Anne Frank and her family. Very few know of the family who risked their own lives, to protect the lives of the Frank family. This mini-series should have addressed this unknown, it did not.
I don not know the source material therefore, I cannot speak of it. What I can speak of is this, 21st Century language being used in mid 20th Century horror.
Whomever put this monstrosity together, should be ashamed of themselves. They showed no respect to the Frank family, no respect to the author who provided the source material, and no respect to the viewer.
I hoped to learn something new from a time of unimaginable fear and terror. I learned that money counts, facts don't. Lets just put out a series. Who cares... It happened a zillion years ago.
Tell that to those who are left, if any, and their family members. Aren't we, the unwashed, lucky that, we were not exteminated? Just because someone said we should be?

I tried my best to watch this but I finally gave up after episode 3.
It reminded me of a nonsensical movie called Tenet. I couldn't understand it, and gave up after 30 minutes. This series got a little more time from me but, by the end of E3, it got too much time.
There was so much tooing and froing between timelines, that didn't really matter; it got frustrating. Most of what was being portrayed was padding. This could have been a 4 parter or at most, a 6 parter.
When the viewer reaches a point whereby they actually don't care what happens, the viewer has been lost. This seems to be the lot of viewers today, being dished up crap, covered in sugar.
