I love fire fighter movies and shows and try not to compare one to the other. This ensures that I give each show, character, plot, etc, their due.
For example: Only the Brave, yet another movie about firefighters, but this gave me new perspectives, new information and it really helped that it was based on a true story. THAT, is worth your time.
Station 19, is not even worth the time I am taking to type out this review. Instead of being original and finding a new angle...you know...putting some WORK and some EFFORT into your show, no this is just a straight copycat for the brilliant Chicago Fire. I could not HELP but compare the two, since they were trying so very hard to show us how alike they can be.
I lost respect for this firefighting team, when at the scene of the opening fire, there was some cowboy shouting "we're putting some white stuff on the red stuff"...seriously?
Pathetic. The first 15min alone will have you rolling your eyes, thinking "Has my life really come to THIS?"

I love this show so much! It was only in the last few episodes that I realized what Ben was doing. Very well done!
