Topic says it all. I really was curious how Hollywood would adapt the original, as it was one of the best real-horror flicks i have seen in years and one with a message. I still rate this remake with 6 stars, because everything was good: especially the actors, the screenplay etc., but the end is awfully bad compared to the original. If the original movie (crew) had the money and the actors from the remake, then it would have been something, you would not forget in years.
Hollywood simply has no balls to do such a movie, instead it created something that is pretty fast forgotten. Moreover it completely misses the message and the feeling you have, after the ending of the original movie. So it is just a cliche ending so typical for Hollywood, it makes me sad.

It does not tell us anything new. La Haine is very similar but way better, as it was the first movie and is original so to say.
Technically Les misérables is great. Actors are "believable" and also great. Les misérables misses unique things/story, to make it outstanding.
Nearly the whole message from film, can be reduced to the fantastic music video from Justice - Stress. Google it, watch it and tell me i am wrong. It is like "who sows the wind will reap storm".

how can somebody create such a ending??? I would gladly like to share the same experience with those people, who rated this series as a masterpiece, but sorry i simply cant. The end is such a bullshit, that it leaves me very disappointed. It leaves me so disappointed, that it remembers me strongly on the end of the LOST series. Of course the fanboys (and girls) here, could say i didn't understand a thing, but i disagree. I am just happy, that it only got 8 episodes, which is still a lot of wasted time, but comparing to LOST its somehow okay. The story had so much potential, but the end maked a big pile of garbage of it. The director did one of the biggest mistakes in cinematography: you can make a great story, but if the ending is bad, then the whole thing is bad and with bad i mean something, that makes you think "do they really take me for an idiot???". The last impression, is that one that counts and this series leaves a watcher slapped and pranked.
