Once again here we have another good show and yet people want to over analyze this show.. This show was never intended to be a spin-off to the space jam movie.. And it's very obvious that the creators didn't intend for it to be otherwise we would have lola on there.. I could see everyones complaint if this was a highly respected anime series where we're dealing with story lines but this is just a cartoon series.. I can't think of a warner bros cartoons series that had a storyline that followed the series through-out.. Last, this cartoon airs at 8am (central here) so it's kinda obvious that it's directed towards an audience that either didn't watch space jam or was too young to remember the movie to realize that something doesn't match up there..All in all I like the show.. I find it very funny and calming and to me that counts more..
This film may have not a "throw back" to the T&J originals but why should it be.. I was a movie for goodness sake.. I give it a 7 for best effort and when I did watch it some years ago it wasn't that all bad.. In fact I still think it's a great movie.. I hope none of you expected an hour and 25 minutes of tom running around the house trying to catch jerry... Maybe some of you had your hopes set on tom finally catching jerry and eating him in a full length film... I also wish that for those of you who criticize the movie you share with us how you think a certain movie should have been done or what could have been done to make a movie better.. I think their voices are OK but I the film would have been a lil me interesting if they didn't have the voices.. I respect the creators effort.. They took to tradition cartoon characters we were use to seeing chase each other around and blow each other up and put them plot were they are actually coming together to help being about a happy ending.. All in all it's a great movie and deserves 7 out of 10..
This movie is a good movie.. It had the potential to be one of the best animated movies of the 80s or early 90s had Miyazaki and Takahata stayed involved in the project... Apparently they only were able to work on the first few scenes from 1982 to 1983.. Watching it today i can see where the effort in the movie stops and it seems like it becomes just another kiddie movie.. I would love to see this movie made into a anime series.. I think it would be "the anime series" of the decade... It's a good movie and could have and would have been a hit had the studio left it's creative team alone to work on the project but i'm sure Miyazaki and Takahata got the last laugh when they saw the outcome of it. I gave it a 5 out of 10 because it's a nice film i enjoyed as a 11 or 12 y/o and that's pretty much that bottom line for this film.. Just something nice for kids to watch...
