I recall watching The Man from Uncle when it first aired but did not watch it regularly since I did not have control of the TV as a kld plus if I recall it was on late. I had fond memories of thw show but I have now watched the entire series online now and do not have a nearly positive feeling. I am left wanting.
The concept was great but after watching entire series I think the major weakness was scripts and it was not just in the 3rd season. It may be because having a different "Dr No" type with some evil scheme was difficult to achieve every show. The characters and chemistry were great and nice to see they did a lot of otheir own stunts.
When I look at later shows like Mission Impossible (all that wooden acting except for Martin Landau) they had stories that have held up over time. Many shows were forgettable but realize these shows were 50 min compared to 40 min today so a lot more dialogue and action to be done/
I was disappointed in the 2015 movie since I wanted something with a harder edge.
It is a nice time capsule of the era/

I first saw this on MST3K but finally saw the original uncit movie on tubi. It is that bad funny type of movie to me. The other reviews have covered a lot.
If you were doing a casting call for a low budget movie (work for near nothing) filmed in New York City, the cast is what I would expect except for memorable Angelika Jaber and her thick accent. She seems to be out of place so there has to be some significance to her casting. It is like someone had to repay a favor.
Angelika spends much of the movie giving lines in front of Dawk Whan and she moves about she seems to look down to find her mark.
It is interesting that the non-speaking females in the group that goes into the factory wore veils.
Actually, using old buidings against the skyline was efficient (at least you do not see cars and aircraft) for a movie that mostly occurs inside.
I found that scene wherer Deeja gets caught in the web (just walked by the foreground net) was especially funny. One second she was next to all the rest then next behind the net.

This was a watchable and entertaining movie but it has multiple flaws. The production seemed rough and closer to TV quality than a bigger budget movie.. Scene set ups and lighting, were baisc but it did the feel of more a reality show than a movie so may consider that a plus. The acting was uneven and some of the characters were just strange (for specific entertainment elements and the script dialogue was equally weak.
In 1964, the activity (working with rural popiulation) depicted was more done by the Green Berets than the regular army.
The movie has an anti-war bias of a post Vietnam War but not sure that aspect carried over from the book or not.
